Staccato Holsters for the C2, P, XC and XL

Since this article was originally published, Dara's holster support for Staccato pistols has expanded considerably. We currently support the Staccato C2, Staccato P, Staccato XC and Staccato XL across multiple holster configurations, including options for concealed carry, range use, competition and Level 2 retention.

Because the Staccato lineup includes pistols with different barrel lengths, overall dimensions and configurations, it is important to select the exact Staccato model when ordering your holster rather than assuming every 2011 pistol uses the same holster.

For a complete list of currently supported models and weapon lights, visit our Staccato Holster Compatibility Resource.

Which Staccato Models Does Dara Make Holsters For?

Dara currently offers holster support for several of the most popular Staccato 2011 pistols:

  • Staccato C2 – 3.9" barrel
  • Staccato P – 4.4" barrel
  • Staccato XC – 5.0" island-comp barrel system
  • Staccato XL – 5.4" barrel

These pistols are all part of the Staccato 2011 family, but that does not mean their external dimensions are identical. Barrel length, slide length and overall configuration can affect how a firearm fits inside a molded holster.

Always select the firearm model listed on the product page that matches the pistol you actually own.

Staccato C2 Holsters

The Staccato C2 is one of the more compact pistols in the Staccato lineup, using a 3.9" barrel. Its shorter overall configuration makes it a popular choice among shooters looking for a more compact 2011 platform.

Dara currently supports the Staccato C2 with several weapon-light configurations, including the Streamlight TLR-1, Streamlight TLR-7 series, SureFire X300U-B and Modlite PL350.

Before ordering, choose the Staccato C2 from the firearm selection menu and select the exact weapon light installed on the firearm if you are ordering a light-bearing holster.

Staccato P Holsters

The Staccato P uses a 4.4" barrel and is one of the best-known duty-oriented pistols in the Staccato lineup.

For shooters who require active retention, Dara offers a Staccato Level 2 Duty Holster with firearm selections for the Staccato C2, P, XC and XL.

Dara's Level 2 system combines adjustable passive retention with an active rotating hood. Current duty holsters are also designed to accommodate slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights.

Staccato XC Holsters

The Staccato XC uses a 5.0" island-comp barrel configuration. Because of its longer slide and integrated compensator system, shooters should specifically select the Staccato XC when ordering rather than choosing another Staccato model simply because it belongs to the same 2011 family.

Dara offers holster configurations for the Staccato XC for a variety of uses, including range, competition and Level 2 retention applications.

If you're looking specifically for active retention, see our Level 2 Duty Holster for Staccato pistols.

Staccato XL Holsters

The Staccato XL uses a 5.4" barrel and is the longest of the four Staccato models covered in this original announcement.

The additional length makes selecting the correct firearm particularly important when ordering a molded holster. Dara lists the XL separately so the holster can be configured for the dimensions of that firearm rather than relying solely on the broader "2011" designation.

What Weapon Lights Does Dara Support for Staccato Pistols?

Our original Staccato holster announcement focused primarily on the Streamlight TLR-1. Dara's current Staccato light-bearing support has expanded.

Current supported weapon-light configurations for the Staccato C2, P, XC and XL include:

  • Streamlight TLR-1 / TLR-1 HL
  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X
  • SureFire X300U-B
  • Modlite PL350

Weapon-light compatibility can vary depending on the holster model, so always verify the available firearm and light combinations on the individual product page before ordering.

You can also see our current firearm and light combinations on the Dara Firearm Compatibility List.

Do All 2011 Pistols Fit the Same Holster?

No. The term "2011" alone should not be used to determine holster compatibility.

2011-style pistols are produced by multiple manufacturers and can differ in slide length, frame dimensions, trigger guard geometry, rail dimensions, dust-cover length, compensators and other external features that affect holster fit.

Even within the Staccato lineup, the C2, P, XC and XL use different dimensions and barrel configurations.

A molded holster should therefore be selected according to the specific firearm model and configuration, not simply because a pistol is described as a 2011.

For a deeper explanation, see our Staccato firearm and holster resources or browse the complete Staccato compatibility guide.

Why Exact Staccato Holster Fit Matters

A molded holster interacts with specific areas of the firearm to establish fit and retention. Differences that may appear minor when comparing two pistols can become important once the firearm is inserted into a formed holster.

Selecting the correct model helps provide:

  • Proper firearm seating inside the holster
  • Consistent adjustable retention
  • Proper trigger guard coverage
  • Clearance for the correct slide and barrel length
  • Correct weapon-light fit on light-bearing models
  • Proper clearance for supported optics and sights

This is why Dara lists individual firearm models rather than offering a single generic "2011 holster."

Optics-Ready Staccato Holsters

Many Staccato pistols are equipped with slide-mounted optics. Dara's current holster lineup includes optics-ready configurations where specified on the individual product page.

Some larger optics, including configurations using optics such as the Trijicon SRO or RMR HD, may require additional optic clearance. When an optic-specific selection appears on the product page, make sure you select it when placing your order.

The firearm, weapon light and optic can all affect holster configuration, which is why providing accurate firearm information during checkout is important.

Staccato Duty, Competition and Range Holsters

Different shooters use Staccato pistols for very different purposes, so the correct holster depends on more than just firearm fit.

For users who require active retention, our Staccato Level 2 Duty Holster provides an active rotating hood in addition to adjustable passive retention.

Competition and range shooters may prefer an OWB configuration that prioritizes access and adjustability, while concealed-carry users may require a completely different holster design.

No matter which style you choose, start by selecting the correct Staccato model and then verify any weapon light or optic configuration required by the product.
