NEW STREAMLIGHTS: HOLSTER COMPATIBILITY

Streamlight has recently released a suite of exciting new weapon lights, including the following:

-TLR-6 HL,

-TLR-7 HL-X

-TLR-7 HL-X SUB

-TLR-1 HL-X

Streamlight recently expanded their TLR lineup with new HL-X variants. While these lights share the same general form factor as the standard TLR-1 and TLR-7, there are important differences in output, candela, and power systems. These changes also affect holster fit, which we’ll explain below.

TLR-1 vs. TLR-1 HL-X

• TLR-1:
  • Output: 300 lumens / 12,000 candela
  • Battery: 2× CR123A lithium batteries
  • Run time: Approx. 2.5 hours

• TLR-1 HL-X:
  • Output: Up to 1,500 lumens / 20,000 candela (with SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable pack)
  • Output: 1,000 lumens / 15,000 candela (with 2× CR123A)
  • Battery: Multi-fuel (SL-B9 rechargeable or CR123A)
  • Run time: Approx. 1.25–1.5 hours depending on power source

TLR-7 (X) vs. TLR-7 HL-X

• TLR-7 X:
  • Output: 500 lumens / 5,000 candela
  • Battery: Multi-fuel (SL-B9 rechargeable or CR123A)
  • Run time: Approx. 1.5 hours

• TLR-7 HL-X:
  • Output: 1,000 lumens / 22,000 candela (with SL-B9)
  • Output: 500 lumens / 11,000 candela (with CR123A)
  • Battery: Multi-fuel (SL-B9 rechargeable or CR123A)
  • Run time: Approx. 1.5–2 hours depending on power source

Holster Compatibility

Although the HL-X versions look similar to the standard TLR-1 and TLR-7, their external dimensions and profile are different. Because of this, the HL-X models are not compatible with our current holster molds designed for the original TLR-1 and TLR-7.

We are in the process of developing new holster molds specifically for the HL-X models, but this process is time-consuming to ensure proper fit & retention. Until those molds are complete, existing Dara holsters for the TLR-1 and TLR-7 will not accommodate the HL-X lights.
