2025 DARA INVITATIONAL DRILL SUBMISSION

This drill is designed for individuals who were not on the original invite list but would like to be considered for one of the Customer/Open match slots.
We will evaluate your ability to safely manipulate firearms and engage targets under time, pressure, and physical stress.
Submission Instructions
- Record a continuous video of yourself completing the drill.
- Ensure the shot timer or stopwatch is visible at the end to show total time.
- Clearly show the target with all hits after the final shot.
- This drill uses Virginia Count scoring: You must fire exactly 8 rounds, and all 8 must hit the target. Misses or makeup shots are not permitted.
- Submit your video by one of the following methods:

- Email: Send the video (titled “Drill Submission”) to Support@daraholsters.com if you do not have social media
Important Notes
- Limited slots available.
- Completing the drill within the defined parameters does not guarantee an invite.
- Selected participants are responsible for all associated costs, including:
- Registration
- Travel & lodging
- Ammunition
- Personal equipment
Lunch will be provided at the match.
Required Equipment & Range Setup
- Camera or phone – to record the drill for review or submission
- Rifle with sling – 2 magazines
- Pistol – 2 magazines
- Belt setup – includes holster and magazine carriers for both rifle and pistol
- Weight implements – one (1) approximately 60 lbs object or two (2) objects totaling approximately 60 lbs
- Acceptable options: dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, buckets filled with sand/rock, etc.
- Shot timer or stopwatch – for measuring total time
- Eye and ear protection – mandatory safety equipment
- Target – 1x IDPA or USPSA-style cardboard target (approx. 18" W x 30" H)
- Position markers – 2–4 cones, flags, or visible paint marks to designate shooting positions (10 and 30 yards)
- Range space – must safely accommodate:
- A clear shooting lane out to 30 yards
- Backward or lateral movement between positions
Time & Accuracy Standards

- Round Count – 4 rifle rounds, 4 pistol rounds
- Magazines – loaded with more than the minimum required rounds (to verify proper clearing)
- Accuracy Standard – All shots must impact anywhere on the target.
- Time Limit –40 seconds

Drill Instructions
Range Setup:
- One target
- Two shooting positions:
- Position 1: 10 yards
- Position 2: 30 yards
Implements:
- Begin at the 10-yard line
- Must total at least 60 lbs
- Carry options:
- Farmers carry two implements
- Single implement carried above the waist
Starting Position:
- Shooter starts at the 10-yard line, within 1 ft of the weight implements, facing downrange
- Both rifle and pistol are made ready before the start
- Rifle at low ready
- Pistol holstered
Engagement 1 (10-yard line):
- At the beep:
- Fire 2 rounds at the target with the rifle, then clear the rifle
- Fire 2 rounds with the pistol, then clear and holster the pistol
- Pick up the weight implement(s) and move to the 30-yard line
Engagement 2 (30-yard line):
- Drop the implement(s) over the 30-yard line
- Repeat the same shooting sequence:
- 2 rounds with rifle
- 2 rounds with pistol
- Time stops after the final shot
- Firearms do not need to be cleared before time stops
