DARA CONCEALMENT SYSTEM (DCS) – LIGHT-BEARING

The Dara Concealment System (DCS) Light-Bearing is a modular concealed carry holster system built for handguns equipped with a weapon-mounted light. Instead of buying separate holsters for different carry positions, the DCS uses the same firearm-specific holster body to create multiple concealed carry configurations.

Depending on how you configure it, the DCS Light-Bearing can be worn as a single-clip or dual-clip IWB holster, AIWB appendix holster, appendix rig with a detachable magazine carrier, or concealable OWB holster.

What Is the DCS Light-Bearing Holster?

The DCS Light-Bearing is Dara's convertible concealed carry system for pistols equipped with supported weapon-mounted lights. The attachment system allows the shooter to change how the holster is carried without replacing the primary holster body.

The system can be configured as:

• AIWB / Appendix Holster – Configure the DCS for appendix carry with an adjustable concealment claw designed to rotate the firearm grip toward the body and reduce printing.

• Appendix Rig with Magazine Carrier – Add the detachable hybrid magazine carrier to carry the handgun and a spare magazine as a single appendix setup.

• Strong-Side IWB Holster – Configure the same holster body for traditional inside-the-waistband carry.

• Dual-Clip IWB Holster – Use two belt clips for additional stability and weight distribution.

• Concealable OWB Holster – Convert the DCS to an outside-the-waistband configuration designed to ride close to the body under an appropriate cover garment.

This allows you to change your carry setup without purchasing a completely different holster for each carry position.

Built Specifically for Weapon-Mounted Lights

Light-bearing holsters require different geometry than standard non-light-bearing holsters. The DCS Light-Bearing is made for the specific handgun and weapon-light combination selected when ordering.

Each holster is individually fit tested with the corresponding firearm and weapon-mounted light before shipment. Fit and retention are checked as part of our manufacturing process rather than relying on a generic or universal light-bearing holster body.

Detachable Hybrid Magazine Carrier

The appendix-rig configuration includes a detachable hybrid magazine carrier constructed from Tegris and Squadron materials. The flexible connection allows the holster and magazine carrier to move with the body while maintaining a low-profile appendix setup.

Don't want to carry a spare magazine that day? Remove the carrier and run the DCS as a standalone AIWB or IWB holster.

Adjustable Concealment Claw

The DCS uses a 6061 aluminum concealment claw to help reduce firearm grip printing during IWB and appendix carry.

When worn behind the belt, the claw applies leverage against the belt to rotate the grip of the handgun toward the body. This can help keep one of the most difficult portions of a concealed handgun—the grip—closer to the wearer.

Adjustable Ride Height, Cant and Sweat Shield

Concealed carry isn't one-size-fits-all. Body type, firearm size, clothing, belt position and preferred carry location can all affect how a holster feels and conceals.

The DCS allows the carry setup to be configured with adjustable ride height and cant, along with selectable sweat-shield options, so the holster can be set up around the individual shooter and carry position.

Optics-Ready Concealed Carry

The DCS Light-Bearing is designed for modern concealed-carry handgun configurations, including supported pistol-mounted red-dot optics.

Each holster is made around the firearm and weapon-light configuration selected when ordering, allowing shooters to build a concealed-carry setup around the equipment they actually use.

IWB During the Week. OWB When You Want It.

One of the biggest differences between the DCS and a traditional concealed-carry holster is its ability to change roles.

You may prefer appendix carry under a T-shirt one day, strong-side IWB with different clothing another day, and close-riding OWB under a jacket at another time. Instead of maintaining several completely separate holsters, the DCS allows the primary holster body to be reconfigured with the appropriate DCS attachment hardware.

Dara also offers DCS conversion kits and attachment components for changing and expanding the system.

DCS Light-Bearing vs. a Traditional Light-Bearing IWB Holster

A traditional light-bearing IWB holster is generally built around one primary method of carry. The DCS is intended for shooters who want more flexibility from one holster platform.

If you already know that you only want one fixed IWB configuration, a traditional Light-Bearing IWB Holster may be all you need.

If you want the ability to move between AIWB, IWB, an appendix rig with a spare magazine, and concealable OWB, the DCS provides those configurations around the same primary holster body.

Made and Individually Fit Tested in North Carolina

Every DCS Light-Bearing Holster is made to order in Wendell, North Carolina for the firearm, weapon light, draw hand and configuration selected with the order.

During production, the holster is formed using firearm-specific tooling, cut, drilled, finished and assembled before being individually fit tested with the corresponding firearm and weapon-mounted light.

That firearm-specific manufacturing process is important for a light-bearing holster because the weapon light becomes an integral part of the holster's fit and retention geometry.
