Walther Holsters: Firearm & Light Compatibility Guide
Dara Holsters manufactures holsters for a wide range of Walther pistols, including models from the PDP, PDP F-Series, PDP Steel Frame, PPQ, Q4, Q5, PPS and P22 families. Because several Walther models share the same basic holster body, understanding the relationship between each firearm family can make it easier to choose the correct holster.
This guide shows the Walther firearm and weapon-mounted light combinations currently supported by Dara Holsters. Availability may vary by holster type, so always select your exact firearm and light combination from the dropdown menu on the individual product page.

It does not mean every Dara holster style is available for every combination. Check the firearm dropdown on the individual holster product page for current availability.
Walther PDP Holsters
The Walther PDP family is one of the largest Walther groups supported by Dara Holsters. We currently manufacture holsters for the PDP 4", PDP 4.5", PDP 5", PDP F-Series 3.5", and PDP F-Series 4".
The standard PDP family and PDP F-Series family share the same basic holster body. The primary difference between these models is firearm length, so the holster must be long enough to accommodate the specific slide and barrel length.
If you do not see your length listed- ex: The PDP Pro -X PMM Comp 4.6" please select your preference. The 4.5" holster will allow the extra .1" to pass through the muzzle end, the 5" holster will cover the end, but extend .9" further than the muzzle of the 4.6" firearm. The same concept is true for the PDP Pro SD Full Size 5.1".
Light-bearing holsters are available for supported PDP models equipped with the Streamlight TLR-1, Streamlight TLR-7(A/X), or SureFire X300U-B.

Walther PDP 4" Holsters
Dara manufactures both non-light-bearing and light-bearing holsters for the Walther PDP 4". Supported weapon light configurations include the TLR-1, TLR-7(A/X), and X300U-B.
Walther PDP 4.5" Holsters
The Walther PDP 4.5" is supported in both non-light-bearing and light-bearing configurations. Current light options include the TLR-1, TLR-7(A/X), and X300U-B.
Walther PDP 5" Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther PDP 5", including light-bearing options for the TLR-1, TLR-7(A/X), and X300U-B.
Walther PDP F-Series 3.5" Holsters
Dara currently manufactures non-light-bearing holsters for the Walther PDP F-Series 3.5". The F-Series shares the same basic holster body as the standard PDP family, with length being the primary fitment difference.
Walther PDP F-Series 4" Holsters
Dara manufactures both non-light-bearing and light-bearing holsters for the Walther PDP F-Series 4". Supported weapon lights include the TLR-1, TLR-7(A/X), and X300U-B.
Do Walther PDP and PDP F-Series Pistols Fit the Same Holster?
Yes. The Walther PDP family and PDP F-Series family share the same basic holster body. The primary difference between supported models is firearm length.
The PDP 4", PDP 4.5", PDP 5", PDP F-Series 3.5", and PDP F-Series 4" can use the same basic holster body when the holster is made long enough to accommodate the specific firearm.
A longer holster may accommodate a shorter firearm within the same compatible family, while a holster made specifically to the length of a shorter firearm may not have enough clearance for a longer slide or barrel.
Walther PDP Steel Frame Holsters
Dara currently manufactures non-light-bearing holsters for the PDP Steel Frame 4", PDP Steel Frame 4.5", and PDP Steel Frame 5".
The PDP Steel Frame models should be treated separately from the polymer-frame PDP and PDP F-Series family when selecting a holster.
- PDP Steel Frame 4"
- PDP Steel Frame 4.5"
- PDP Steel Frame 5"
Be sure to select the Steel Frame model specifically when ordering.

Dimensions may be similar, but they do not fit in the same holster.
Walther PPQ and Q-Series Polymer Frame Holsters
Many polymer-frame Walther PPQ, Q4 and Q5 models share the same basic holster body. The primary difference between these compatible models is firearm length.
This includes supported polymer-frame PPQ models, including PPQ M2 configurations, as well as polymer-frame Q4 and Q5 models.
Because the holster body is shared between these firearms, the length of the holster is an important part of determining compatibility. A longer holster may accommodate a shorter firearm in the same family, while a shorter holster may not provide enough clearance for a longer slide or barrel.
Walther PPQ SC 3.5" Holsters
Dara currently manufactures non-light-bearing holsters for the Walther PPQ SC 3.5".
Walther PPQ 4" Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther PPQ 4", including configurations designed for the Streamlight TLR-1.
Walther PPQ 5" Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther PPQ 5", including configurations designed for the Streamlight TLR-1.
Walther Q4 TAC Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther Q4 TAC, including a light-bearing configuration for the Streamlight TLR-1.
Walther Q5 Match Polymer Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther Q5 Match Polymer, including a light-bearing configuration for the Streamlight TLR-1.
Do Walther PPQ, Q4 and Q5 Polymer Pistols Fit the Same Holster?
Many of them do. Polymer-frame PPQ models, including PPQ M2 configurations, share the same basic holster body as the polymer-frame Q4 and Q5 models.
The main difference between these compatible firearms is length. When determining compatibility, the holster must be long enough to accommodate the specific slide and barrel length of the firearm.
Steel-frame Walther pistols should not be treated as interchangeable with polymer-frame models.
Walther Q4 and Q5 Steel Frame Holsters
The Walther Q4 Steel Frame SF and Q5 Steel Frame SF share the same basic holster body. The primary difference between the two models is firearm length.
Dara manufactures light-bearing holsters for both models with support for the SureFire X300U-B and Modlite PL350.
Walther Q4 Steel Frame (SF) Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther Q4 Steel Frame SF with support for the SureFire X300U-B and Modlite PL350.
Walther Q5 Steel Frame (SF) Holsters
Dara manufactures holsters for the Walther Q5 Steel Frame SF with support for the SureFire X300U-B and Modlite PL350.
Do Walther Q4 and Q5 Steel Frame Pistols Fit the Same Holster?
Yes. The Walther Q4 Steel Frame SF and Q5 Steel Frame SF share the same basic holster body. The primary difference is the length of the firearm.
A holster made with enough length to accommodate the longer firearm may also accommodate the shorter model within the same steel-frame family.
Steel-frame Q4 and Q5 pistols should not be assumed to fit polymer-frame PPQ, Q4 or Q5 holsters.
Walther PPS M2 Holsters
Dara manufactures non-light-bearing holsters for the Walther PPS M2. When ordering, be sure to select the PPS M2 specifically from the firearm dropdown on the appropriate holster product page.
Walther P22 Holsters
Dara manufactures non-light-bearing holsters for the Walther P22. Select the P22 from the firearm dropdown on the appropriate holster product page to confirm current holster availability.
Walther Weapon Light Compatibility
Depending on the firearm model, Dara currently supports select Walther holsters configured for the following weapon-mounted lights:
- Streamlight TLR-1
- Streamlight TLR-7(A/X)
- SureFire X300U-B
- Modlite PL350
Weapon-mounted light compatibility is specific to the firearm and light combination. A holster manufactured for one light should not be assumed to fit another light, even if both lights can physically mount to the firearm.
Which Walther Pistols Share the Same Holster?
Several Walther firearm families share the same basic holster body:
- PDP Family: PDP and PDP F-Series models share the same basic holster body, with differences in firearm length.
- PPQ / Q-Series Polymer Family: Polymer-frame PPQ models, including PPQ M2 configurations, share the same basic holster body as polymer-frame Q4 and Q5 models, with differences in length.
- Q-Series Steel Frame Family: Q4 Steel Frame SF and Q5 Steel Frame SF share the same basic holster body, with differences in length.
Even when firearms share the same holster body, holster length still matters. A holster made for a shorter firearm may not accommodate a longer slide or barrel.
How Does Dara Test Walther Holster Fit?
Our holster molds are made by us using the specific firearm models we support. After a holster is formed, we use the corresponding firearm, and weapon light when applicable, to fit test the holster and check the draw weight before it ships.
This is why selecting the exact firearm and light combination during the ordering process is important, even when multiple Walther models share the same basic holster body.
