LIGHT BEARING LEVEL 2 DUTY HOLSTER

My level two duty holster is everything that I could have wanted in a holster. Took it to the range the day after I got it and put it through some dynamic training paces. When I got home, I ordered another holster from them along with a level two control kit. I don’t know if I will use the control kit. The thumb drive was easy to find and worked flawlessly. Look forward to recommending them to my shooting friends.

I'm relatively new to firearms and have had my pistol for a little over a year. Most of the ranges around where I live will not allow drawing from a holster so when I finally found a training facility that allowed it I was excited. I did a lot of research. A LOT OF RESEARCH and I came across Dara. Then I started my research on them. I kind of knew that I had decided on a pretty good set up but I was really happy when I showed up to my very first combat pistol class and brought out my rig for evaluation and got an impressive response from the more seasoned shooters. I'm not one of those guys that wants to be Gucci'd down or in it for the show. I wanted a quality rig that will last me for quite some time and it seems that is exactly what I got. My Kore Essentials belt, Dara holster and Dara mag carriers served its purpose and then some. The draw from The holster was smooth every single time. The auto retention of the mag carriers was outstanding. From what I've seen, if you're new to the whole draw from a holster thing or a seasoned Firearms Handler, you can't go wrong with Dara anything. I can't wait for their Auto retention AR mag to drop. I will definitely be getting a couple of those.

I've been running a Safariland level 3 for my m18. I've shelved it for now due to recent concerns with the pistol. My edc is a Sig X Macro Comp. Why not use it for a duty gun. I actually shoot better with it, same capacity, i found an awesome large window optic with rmsc foot print (Osight SE). I've searched high and low for a good level 2 or level 3 holster for my Sig Sauer X Macro Comp. I've found it here. I really didn't have high expectations. I run a tlr 7a. It was built and shipped within a week!!! When I opened the package I was thoroughly impressed with the quality. Attention to detail matters. It fits and draws beautifully. I was half expecting a cheesy optic hood. It's solid. Well built, flips down very quick and keeps the pistol secure. I also added the adapter to run the safariland mid ride belt mount and it mounts up very secure. I also have the manual safety on my x macro. It says it will not work with the safety. My pistol will enter the holster and work perfectly as long as the safety is not in the safe position. I am debating getting out my heat gun to try to gain a little extra room. Well done people! Outstanding work — slight adjustment on the retention to get my draw how I like it and it’s perfect. My second purchase from Dara and I couldn’t be happier. Great work, team.

I’ll start off with the fact this is the first review I’ve ever written. From time of order, to time I had the package in hand was 3 days. Ive ran a Blackhawk T series (broke retention components) and a Safariland that wouldn’t accept the light it was designed for due to poor QA on clearance. I ordered the DBL2-L + 2 Spacers w/ leg strap. I’m In police academy and set it up on the belt and went to a range day, then followed up with close quarters fighting scenarios in the back of a school bus and ambulance, not only is it a smooth draw, it looks brand new after being slammed into anything you can think of during the fighting scenarios. Secondly, the auto retention mag holders are awesome. The DM1 mole system for mounting is extremely sturdy, and does not move a 1/8” on the vest. I’ll continue to go with Dara for any gear needs for the phenomenal quality, lifetime warranty, and to support a USA made company.

I carried a Safariland on my hip for 18 years. I T&E’d a DARA Level 2 Duty Holster, trained with it for three months, and switched every belt/kit I have over to DARA. No brainer.

This is my second Dara holster and it’s a quality holster that I feel comfortable and safe with while on patrol. In addition their customer service is top notch and it’s always delivered sooner than expected. Thank you Dara.

I really like the quality of the holster. The only downfall is that my firearm gets “hung up” upon drawing the weapon.
