ALQD Auto Locking Quick Disconnect System

The ALQD (Auto Locking Quick Disconnect) System is Dara Holsters' quick-disconnect mounting system designed to let you securely attach, remove and swap compatible holsters and gear without removing your belt or unholstering your firearm.

Unlike traditional quick-disconnect systems that rely on manual engagement alone, the ALQD automatically locks into place when connected and includes a separate manual safety for an additional level of security. The ALQD is the only auto-locking holster quick-disconnect system on the market and boasts a higher breakaway point than any other holster attachment system currently available.

What's Included

• 1 x ALQD Receiver
• 1 x ALQD Mount

The ALQD Mount attaches to the holster or compatible gear, while the ALQD Receiver attaches to your belt attachment, MOLLE attachment, RAM Mount or other compatible mounting platform. Once a Receiver is installed, additional compatible holsters and gear only need an ALQD Mount to use the same system.

Who Is the ALQD For?

The ALQD was designed for anyone who needs the ability to securely move or change holsters and equipment without repeatedly removing mounting hardware. It is commonly used by law enforcement officers, military personnel, competitive shooters, range users and firearm owners who run multiple holster configurations.

For example, a competitive shooter can swap between different firearm and holster combinations without removing the belt attachment. A law enforcement or professional user can remove a standard holster from a duty belt to swap for a light compatible holster for night shift when needed without unholstering the firearm. Multiple ALQD Receivers can also be incorporated into compatible belt, MOLLE, vehicle or other mounting setups.

The ALQD is commonly paired with Dara's OWB, competition and duty equipment, including:

• DBL2 and DBL2-L belt attachments

The ALQD can be particularly useful when several holsters need to share the same belt or mounting platform. Install the ALQD Receiver on the attachment and equip each compatible holster with an ALQD Mount. The holsters can then be changed while leaving the Receiver and belt attachment in place.

ALQD Compatibility

The ALQD Mount is directly compatible with Dara Holsters using the 3-point mounting pattern and Dara RAM Mounted Holsters using the compatible 4-point pattern. The ALQD Receiver can be used with Dara OWB attachment systems, including compatible belt, MOLLE and RAM mounting configurations.

The ALQD will not directly mount to Dara IWB Holsters or 2-point mounting pattern OWB Holsters.

What About Other Holster & Attachment Brands?

The ALQD uses Dara's proprietary mounting pattern. However, that does not mean you are limited to using the ALQD only with Dara mounting platforms.

The Bridge™ Adapter was developed specifically to overcome proprietary mounting-pattern limitations. The Bridge is a cross-platform modular gear adapter that allows compatible holsters and attachment systems with different mounting patterns to work together.

The Bridge currently supports mounting patterns from Dara, Safariland®, G-Code, Blade-Tech, Blackhawk, Alien Gear, Comp-Tac, US Duty Gear and other systems. It can also be used with third-party mounting platforms such as the True North Concepts Modular Holster Adaptor (MHA) and Guardian Warrior Solutions Bang Hanger.

This means users who already have another attachment ecosystem can often incorporate the ALQD into their existing setup rather than replacing all of their mounting equipment.

How the ALQD Works

To attach compatible gear, insert the ALQD Mount into the Receiver. The system's automatic locking mechanism secures the connection. The manual safety can then be engaged for additional security.

To disconnect, disengage the manual safety, depress the release and slide the ALQD Mount out of the Receiver. This allows the entire holster and firearm to be removed or exchanged without unholstering the firearm.

Build a Modular ALQD Setup

The ALQD is designed as a system rather than a single-use attachment. One holster can be equipped with an ALQD Mount and moved between multiple Receivers, or multiple holsters can each be equipped with a Mount and share the same Receiver.

For example, an ALQD Receiver can remain attached to a DBL2 or DBL2-L on a belt while several compatible holsters are equipped with ALQD Mounts. Changing firearm or holster configurations then requires changing the holster rather than removing and reinstalling the entire belt attachment.

If you already own an ALQD Receiver, additional compatible Dara products only require an ALQD Mount to integrate them into your existing ALQD setup.

ALQD + DBL2 Installation

Pairing the ALQD with the DBL2 or DBL2-L creates a rigid belt-mounted quick-disconnect system. A leg strap adapter can also be incorporated into compatible configurations.
