    I found Dara holsters when I was searching for a company that made Level II Light Bearing holsters for a XDM 5.25 that I have....Dara is literally the only company I could find that made one. Upon receipt I was very impressed by the craftsmanship....so when it came time to buy another holster for my Springfield 1911, Dara was a no-brainer. The 1911 holster works just as well as my XDM holster, with the same feel and quality. I don't know if I have any reason to look elsewhere for quality holsters in the future. Sidenote: I do have the Safariland QLS attachment system on both my XDM and 1911 Dara holsters. The QLS fork was a little tight on the 1911 holster because it is so much skinnier than my previous XDM holster which was made for a TRL-1 light. I drilled out the holes on my QLS fork ever so slightly, and it now fits great on my Dara holster. Just thought I'd give an FYI, you may have to do the same if you run a similar setup.

    This is the best duty holster I have ever purchase it’s come built already so you don’t have to put it together and it’s light I wear it to work full 8 hours doesn’t feel heavy even after 8 hrs I haven’t drop it but it very well made feel very smooth and look very good in person money worth it i definitely recommended it

    I've been frustrated with the other BIG duty holster companies! Almost too many choices but then impossible to find what you need for your pistol or it's not in stock anywhere. Dara made finding and ordering easy. Quick delivery and their duty holster is top notch. I now have 2 and they fit and function perfectly. I also really like their ALQD mounting system. And the best is you can actually get them on the phone to ask questions!

    Yeah, this holster is phenomenal at this point so far. The hood & its mechanism is fantastic. The snug fit for my FNX .45 Tactical is great. Ordered the 1.5" leg strap as well which takes a second to get used to but works great & does as advertised. I will say however, because of the FDE slide on the pistol, black streak type gunk gets left on the slide after holstering & drawing out a couple of times. Not a big fan of that but it wipes off easily. Probably happens to most non-black pistol slides in alot of holsters? Price is certainly not cheap but as with most things in life, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I have no issues spending cake if the products are quality which this is. All said, hope this thing lasts because its awesome!!
