The Dara Level 2 Duty Holster is designed for law enforcement, military personnel, armed security professionals, and civilian shooters requiring active retention. Our Level 2 Holster combines active hood retention with adjustable passive retention. The firearm remains secured until the hood release is intentionally activated by the user. Unlike other "Retention OWB holsters" that merely add a third party rotating hood, our level 2 holster integrates advanced retention features and durable construction, designed in house and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Built from .125" Kydex or Boltaron, purpose-blended polymer injection molded components and assembled with Black Oxide coated stainless steel hardware, this holster ensures unbeatable strength and longevity in any environment- guaranteed.
Retention System
Customize the draw stroke to your preference with the passive EPDM rubber retention, the active retention hood locks firmly in place until you activate the thumb lever—enabling a quick, smooth release. To customize the thumb lever, see our Level 2 Control Kit.
Optics & Sight Compatibility
Our holsters are designed to accommodate most slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights, ensuring versatility for various duty or tactical setups. The REGULAR HOOD can accommodate optics up to 1.2" tall when measured from the top of the slide to the top of the optic. Anything taller, will require the LARGE HOOD. If your optic measures in between, we recommend sizing up. For the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD, please check the box for deeper optic cut.
Customizable Drop & Cant
Adjust the ride height and cant angles on our belt attachments for optimal comfort and draw efficiency. Add an optional leg strap for extra stability, especially during high-intensity operations. Our DBL2 & DBL2-L Attachments allow for a 10° forward and 10° backwards cant angle adjustment.
Attachment Options
Choose from our numerous belt attachments and drops, including the DBL2 or DBL2-L Attachment Systems. Both options provide clearance for body armor and a natural draw stroke, making this level 2 holster ideal for professional use. All attachments accommodate belt widths measuring 1.5" - 2.25".

Bought this as a duty holster as we were using the omnivore holster for duty use, and that holster is not made for duty use. This was a better option for our pistols with RDS. I do wish that there was another retention on this but at least it has the hood retention. So far it works perfectly.

This holster fits my CZ P10F perfectly with minimal retention after disengaging the hood. No movement at all while holstered. The mount can be adjusted from 1.5-2in.

This holster is better than anything out there trying to compete with Dara. I own, around $1800 in Dara holsters and mag pouches. Hands down the best out there!!! The holster and ALQD is well thought out. I like the ability to pop the holster off with pistol in it. It is genius.

Ive been in law enforcement over 20 years and have worn dang near every style and brand holster on the market recently purchased a duty holster from dara and must say quality and function is spot on wears great very sturdy and function is flawless 20 out of ten recommend

Dara holsters is amazing. Great product and incredible customer service. I started a new job requiring a level 2 duty holster and was in a bind. After placing my order I called the Dara Team because I saw I could have expedited service for an extra charge. I told dara of the situation with my new job and they said “no worries we’ll get this done today and shipped out to you later today.” I asked to pay for the expedited service and they said “don’t worry, it’s ok, we’ll take care of it.” By the end of the day after placing my order I had a tracking number from UPS. I was in shock. I have never met a nicer group of individuals willing to help someone out. As for the holster, fit and finish is amazing. This is my second holster from dara and they continue to do great work.

Overall 5/5. I was very impressed with the prompt shipping. I think it took 13 or so days total including shipping. Very impressed with the overall build of the holster. All the screws are lock tite. The murex is nice and thick. The belt mount is super heavy duty. I’ve got some in home practice time on it. About two hours worth of drawing and holstering. At first it seemed to want to pull in towards me and I was thinking about needing a thigh strap. After practice and form adjustment I don’t believe a strap is necessary. I have already recommended this company to all of my Friends and co workers and if I ever have the funds again will be ordering another for my 1911.
