The Dara Level 2 Duty Holster is designed for law enforcement, military personnel, armed security professionals, and civilian shooters requiring active retention. Our Level 2 Holster combines active hood retention with adjustable passive retention. The firearm remains secured until the hood release is intentionally activated by the user. Unlike other "Retention OWB holsters" that merely add a third party rotating hood, our level 2 holster integrates advanced retention features and durable construction, designed in house and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

    Built from .125" Kydex or Boltaron, purpose-blended polymer injection molded components and assembled with Black Oxide coated stainless steel hardware, this holster ensures unbeatable strength and longevity in any environment- guaranteed.

  2. Retention System
    Customize the draw stroke to your preference with the passive EPDM rubber retention, the active retention hood locks firmly in place until you activate the thumb lever—enabling a quick, smooth release. To customize the thumb lever, see our Level 2 Control Kit.

  3. Optics & Sight Compatibility
    Our holsters are designed to accommodate most slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights, ensuring versatility for various duty or tactical setups. The REGULAR HOOD can accommodate optics up to 1.2" tall when measured from the top of the slide to the top of the optic. Anything taller, will require the LARGE HOOD. If your optic measures in between, we recommend sizing up. For the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD, please check the box for deeper optic cut.

  4. Customizable Drop & Cant
    Adjust the ride height and cant angles on our belt attachments for optimal comfort and draw efficiency. Add an optional leg strap for extra stability, especially during high-intensity operations. Our DBL2 & DBL2-L Attachments allow for a 10° forward and 10° backwards cant angle adjustment.

  5. Attachment Options
    Choose from our numerous belt attachments and drops, including the DBL2 or DBL2-L Attachment Systems. Both options provide clearance for body armor and a natural draw stroke, making this level 2 holster ideal for professional use. All attachments accommodate belt widths measuring 1.5" - 2.25".

  6. Third Party Compatibility
    For those running attachment systems from other companies, The Bridge™ Adapter allows the user to connect our Holsters to most third party belt attachments.

    I recommend this holster for a fn 509 tactical fits the gun perfect it also doesn’t leave any scratches or wear on the gun. And I haven’t had to tighten any screws up for a 2 months so it holds up great the alqd attatchment works very good to it’s worth the extra $39. The sping assisted level 2 retention works perfect also.

    I was a little unsure at first about ordering a holster that I myself didnt personally see or try to ensure the right fit and feel for my firearm. The PX4 Storm doesnt have alot of holster choices so when I saw that Dara could custom make one I was interested. The price tag made me think on it for a while, especially the warning that refunds/returns on custom were non existent. Now that I have the holster, I am very happy that I decided to order from Dara. The fit is perfect, and the holster looks great. The quality and craftmanship of the holster speaks for it self. My side arm is secure and comfortable, as well as reliable to draw when needed. Will definately buy another holster for any of my firearms from Dara.

    I’ve order two duty holster from Dara. Hands down probably the best holster I’ve had. Fits perfect for my xds. For my ruger 5.7 I hope they make it with as a light bearing holster being I have a TLR1 light I have to place on it. Two purchases with last few months. If I buy another guy, I’ll be back. Thanks guys. You should also look at having level 3 retention. I owe a security company and I’d like to use them for all my firearms as well.

    It was precisely what I wanted and needed. I had been looking for a holster that was at minimum level 2 for duty for my Hk VP9sk. Dara was one of only two I was able to find in a year, the other place had a wait time of 4-6months and a back and shipping wait time of up to two months. So this for me gives Dara 5 gems because it only took me just under two weeks max to receive mine after the order. I just used it last night on duty for the first time which makes it appropriate to now review. It feels sturdy, stable and really good quality. My only wish is that they also made level 3 duty.

    A well designed, rugged holster. Fits my pistol perfectly. I purchased the holster primarily for field/hunting use; climbing fences & Trestman's, crawling thru the brush, etc. So far, it hasn't disappointed. The Q4 SF is a heavy pistol but the holster really helps take the edge off; especially when using the leg strap. A great product I'm sure I'll be using for years to come.
