The Dara Level 2 Duty Holster is designed for law enforcement, military personnel, armed security professionals, and civilian shooters requiring active retention. Our Level 2 Holster combines active hood retention with adjustable passive retention. The firearm remains secured until the hood release is intentionally activated by the user. Unlike other "Retention OWB holsters" that merely add a third party rotating hood, our level 2 holster integrates advanced retention features and durable construction, designed in house and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

    Customize the draw stroke to your preference with the passive EPDM rubber retention, the active retention hood locks firmly in place until you activate the thumb lever—enabling a quick, smooth release. To customize the thumb lever, see our Level 2 Control Kit.

  3. Optics & Sight Compatibility
    Our holsters are designed to accommodate most slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights, ensuring versatility for various duty or tactical setups. The REGULAR HOOD can accommodate optics up to 1.2" tall when measured from the top of the slide to the top of the optic. Anything taller, will require the LARGE HOOD. If your optic measures in between, we recommend sizing up. For the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD, please check the box for deeper optic cut.

  4. Customizable Drop & Cant
    Adjust the ride height and cant angles on our belt attachments for optimal comfort and draw efficiency. Add an optional leg strap for extra stability, especially during high-intensity operations. Our DBL2 & DBL2-L Attachments allow for a 10° forward and 10° backwards cant angle adjustment.

  5. Attachment Options
    Choose from our numerous belt attachments and drops, including the DBL2 or DBL2-L Attachment Systems. Both options provide clearance for body armor and a natural draw stroke, making this level 2 holster ideal for professional use. All attachments accommodate belt widths measuring 1.5" - 2.25".

  6. Third Party Compatibility
    For those running attachment systems from other companies, The Bridge™ Adapter allows the user to connect our Holsters to most third party belt attachments.

    The holster came with the DBL2-L and ALQD firmly attached to the Level 2 holster. From that point, it was easy to attach to my belt. I am pleased. Very quick delivery. The various installation videos on DARA's website were very informative and helpful.

    Holster light so that when you draw the bottom flares out making it hard to draw on duty belt. Also slides on 2 inch duty belt due to small amount of extra space, since you had to take off notches for smaller belt. -Dear CE, Please ensure you are adjusting to the proper belt width on the duty holster attachment. Our attachments are sent out at 1.75" but can be sized down to fit 1.5" belts. This should help with the issue you are experiencing!

    Ordered this for an HK USP and exceeded my expectations. Very robust, perfect fit. Optic hood works well, took a few hundred draws to get the technique down. The attention to detail on a less common platform like the USP is great, shielded ambi safety perfectly. Was produced and shipped in only 2 days! Will be shopping here again if I need another duty-style holster.

    I got this holster to run for pcsl 2 gun matches, but now after shooting it I’m gonna use it for everything. Hood locks hard, but easy to open and opens quick. Gun slides out effortlessly. Big fan of the holsters.

An example of the double loop and drop offset attachment. the double loop has 2 points of attachment to the belt where the belt feeds through each side. The drop offset is a separate piece that connects the double loop to the holster. the drop offset drops the holster down and offsets the grip from the body.

An example of the quick loop and drop offset attachment. the quick loop hinges at the top and clips around the bottom of the belt with locking tabs to secure it in place. The drop offset is a separate piece that connects the quick loop to the holster. the drop offset drops the holster down and offsets the grip from the body.

An example of the dbl2 with spacers. the dbl2 is the shortest of the aluminum drop hangers, offering an adjustable cant and adjustable belt width. the spacers offset the holster from the attachment with just enough clearance to operate the retention system.
