DARA
DROP OFFSET HOLSTER PACKAGE
Description
What Is a Drop Offset Holster?
A drop offset holster is an outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster mounted slightly lower and farther away from the body than a traditional belt-mounted holster. The term "drop offset" generally refers to the belt attachment or mounting system rather than the holster itself.
Drop offset holsters are commonly used in competitive shooting, range training, and belt-mounted gear setups where accessibility and a consistent draw are important.
Why Use a Drop Offset Holster?
- Easier Access: Positions the firearm lower on the belt, making the grip easier to reach.
- More Clearance: Moves the holster away from the body to accommodate equipment such as body armor, plate carriers, or other belt-mounted gear.
- More Natural Draw: Can reduce unnecessary shoulder and wrist movement when establishing a firing grip.
- Adjustability: Compatible mounting systems may offer different ride heights, spacing, and cant configurations.
What's Included in the Drop Offset Competition Holster Package?
The Dara Drop Offset Competition Holster Package combines an Action Sport Holster, drop offset mounting hardware, and magazine carriers into one range-ready setup. An inner/outer battle belt is also available as an optional addition.
1. Drop Offset Action Sport Holster
Includes one Dara Action Sport Holster featuring an ejection port cutout designed to provide clearance for slide-mounted optics and co-witness sights.
The ejection port cutout also reduces the amount of vertical travel needed to clear the holster during the draw, helping competitive shooters achieve a more efficient draw stroke.
Choose Your Mounting Configuration:
- DBL2-L Attachment with your choice of spacers.
- ALQD Quick Disconnect System for convenient holster removal and transfer between compatible mounting setups.
- Double Loop and Drop Offset Belt System for a dedicated belt-mounted configuration.
These mounting options position the holster lower on the belt to promote a more natural and accessible draw.
The optional ALQD Quick Disconnect System allows competitive shooters to remove the holstered firearm from the belt between matches or transfer the holster between compatible belt setups without removing the mounting hardware.
2. Automatic Retention Magazine Carriers (2 Included)
Includes two Dara Automatic Retention Mag Carriers with your choice of attachment:
- Quick Loop Attachment: Hinged belt attachment that wraps around the belt and clips securely underneath, allowing convenient installation and removal.
- DM2 MOLLE Attachment: Designed to weave securely through MOLLE webbing for a more permanent mounting configuration.
3. AR Magazine Carrier (1 Included)
Includes one Dara Modular AR Magazine Carrier with your choice of Quick Loop or DM2 MOLLE attachment.
This carrier provides a dedicated location for an AR magazine alongside your handgun magazines and holster.
4. Optional KORE Essentials Inner/Outer Battle Belt
Complete your drop offset competition holster setup with the optional KORE Essentials Battle Belt System.
The KORE Battle Belt features a micro-adjustable sizing system, allowing users to fine-tune belt tension in approximately 1/4-inch increments without removing the belt.
Features:
- Two-piece inner and outer belt system.
- 1.75-inch black outer belt with MOLLE webbing.
- 1.5-inch inner hook-and-loop liner belt.
- 20+ adjustment positions in approximately 1/4-inch increments.
- 20 lb load rating.
- Reinforced Power-Core construction.
- Adjustable fit for waist sizes from 24 to 48 inches.
- Designed to support holsters, magazine carriers, medical equipment, and additional range gear.
Included Belt Components: Black outer belt, black battle buckle, inner liner belt, belt tip keeper, measuring tape, hex wrench, and set screws.
The inner belt feeds through the user's belt loops while the outer belt secures over it, creating a stable platform for mounted equipment.
Who Is the Drop Offset Holster Package For?
The Dara Drop Offset Competition Holster Package is designed for competitive shooters, recreational range shooters, and anyone building a dedicated range belt setup.
Rather than repeatedly removing individual pieces of equipment, users can keep their holster and magazine carriers mounted to a dedicated outer belt between matches or range sessions.
For shooters who use multiple belt configurations, the optional ALQD Quick Disconnect System provides additional flexibility. A compatible holster can be transferred between a competition belt and an everyday carry belt using the same quick disconnect interface.
This allows one holster to serve multiple belt setups without requiring a separate holster for each configuration.
