Light bearing Action Sport Holster

The Light Bearing Action Sport Holster is a competition holster designed specifically for pistols equipped with a weapon-mounted light. Built for a fast, consistent draw, this holster features an ejection port cut that allows the firearm to clear the holster faster than a traditional OWB Holster while maintaining the coverage and retention required for a light-compatible holster.

Made from thick .093" Boltaron/Kydex and fastened using stainless steel hardware, the Light Bearing Action Sport Holster is built to withstand regular competition, training and range use. Each holster is formed specifically around the firearm and weapon light combination selected when ordering.

The Light Bearing Action Sport Holster is designed for IDPA, USPSA and IPSC-type competitive shooting. It features a robust thermoformed body, adjustable retention, an ejection port cut and compatibility with a variety of Dara belt attachment options.

Each holster is made to order using the specifications chosen on the order form. Dara supports a large variety of firearm and weapon-mounted light combinations. All Dara competition holsters come optics ready and are compatible with nearly every commonly used pistol-mounted red dot sight.

Dara Attachment Compatibility

Dara Holsters uses a proprietary hole pattern for mounting belt attachments to the holster. If you intend to use the Light Bearing Action Sport Holster with another manufacturer's belt attachment, competition hanger or mounting system, select The Bridge™ Adapter as your attachment option when ordering.

The Bridge™ Adapter is a cross-platform adapter designed to connect Dara holsters with a variety of third-party attachment systems.

Please note: Dara cannot guarantee that a holster configured with a third-party belt attachment will remain within USPSA, IPSC or IDPA equipment guidelines. Attachment dimensions, offset, ride height and positioning can affect whether the complete holster setup complies with a specific organization's rules. Competitors are responsible for confirming that their complete equipment configuration meets the current rules for their division and competition.

Please choose your exact firearm make, model and weapon-mounted light. Light-bearing holsters are designed around the dimensions of both the firearm and the selected weapon light. Failure to mention any details that influence the external dimensions of your firearm or light may result in fitment issues.

Do not assume that a similar firearm model, weapon light or different version of the same light will fit. If your exact configuration is not listed, check our Supported Firearms List or contact us before ordering.

FAQ's

I have an optic. Will this holster work?
Yes. The Light Bearing Action Sport Holster's ejection port cut accommodates most pistol-mounted red dot sights, while our .5" tall sight channel accommodates most co-witness and suppressor-height sights.

Does the holster retain the firearm by the weapon-mounted light?
Light-bearing holsters are designed around the complete firearm and weapon-light configuration. Because the weapon light changes the external dimensions of the firearm, you must select the exact firearm and light combination when ordering.

Can I use the holster without my weapon light attached?
The Light Bearing Action Sport Holster is designed to be used with the weapon-mounted light selected when ordering. For a firearm without a weapon light, choose the standard Action Sport Holster.

Can I use a different weapon light than the one I selected?
Do not assume that another weapon light will fit, even if it appears similar in size. Different lights can have different body, bezel, switch and mounting dimensions that affect holster fit and retention. Select the exact weapon light you intend to use from the available options.

Can I use another company's belt attachment or competition hanger?
Yes, but Dara Holsters uses a proprietary mounting hole pattern. If you want to use a compatible third-party attachment, select The Bridge™ Adapter as your attachment option.

Will a third-party attachment still make my holster USPSA, IPSC or IDPA legal?
Not necessarily. Dara cannot guarantee compliance when a third-party attachment is used. The attachment can change the holster's ride height, offset and position relative to the belt and body. Competitors should verify their complete setup against the current rules of the organization and division in which they compete.
