OWB Paddle Holster

The Dara OWB Paddle Holster is designed for shooters who want a secure, firearm-specific outside-the-waistband holster that can be put on and removed without taking off the belt. Each holster is built around the selected handgun, providing consistent fit, adjustable retention and the convenience of an easy on/off paddle attachment.

This holster is a practical option for everyday OWB carry, range use and anyone who regularly needs to remove and reinstall their holster throughout the day.

Easy On, Easy Off Paddle Attachment

The main advantage of a paddle holster is convenience. Unlike OWB belt-loop attachments that require the belt to be removed or unthreaded, the Dara Paddle allows the complete holster to be installed or removed while the belt stays in place.

Our paddle is intentionally smaller than many traditional industry-standard paddle attachments. Dara designed the attachment with a compact profile that allows the holster to ride tighter to the belt and closer to the body rather than relying on an oversized paddle behind the belt.

The Dara Paddle is designed for 1.5" to 1.75" EDC belts, creating a secure interface between the holster, belt and body while maintaining the quick-removal advantage of a paddle holster.

Built Around Your Firearm

The Dara OWB Paddle Holster is not a universal pistol holster. Each holster body is manufactured around the selected firearm using firearm-specific tooling.

Differences in the slide, frame, trigger guard, barrel length and other firearm dimensions can affect holster fit and retention. Building the holster around the selected handgun allows Dara to control how the firearm seats, retains and draws from the holster.

This gives you the convenience of a paddle attachment without sacrificing the firearm-specific construction of the holster itself.

Adjustable Retention

The OWB Paddle Holster includes adjustable retention, allowing the user to increase or decrease draw resistance based on personal preference.

Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all retention setting, the holster can be adjusted to achieve the draw resistance that works best for the individual user.

Optics Ready With a Taller Sight Channel

Every Dara OWB Paddle Holster is optics ready and designed to accommodate most common slide-mounted red-dot sights.

The holster also features a taller sight channel accommodating sights up to .5" tall, providing clearance for many suppressor-height and co-witness sight configurations.

For firearms using an optic positioned farther forward on the slide, such as certain Trijicon SRO or RMR HD configurations, select the appropriate deeper optic cut when available.

Dara Proprietary Attachment Pattern

Although this holster comes standard with the Dara Paddle Attachment only, the holster body retains Dara's proprietary attachment hole pattern.

This means choosing the Paddle Holster does not permanently limit the holster body to a paddle. The same mounting pattern allows the holster to accept applicable Dara attachments and mounting systems if your setup changes later.

Need to use a third-party mounting system? Dara's proprietary hole pattern is not designed to directly mount to most third-party attachments. Use The Bridge™ Adapter to connect compatible Dara holsters with supported third-party attachment systems.

    This was my second DARA holster, received this one in about a week, which was a pretty amazing feat, in itself, !! The thicker, .093" Kydex/Boltaron, and heavy duty, hardened steel hardware is where the DARA holsters truly rise above all their competitors. You couldn't buy a better, more precisely designed and constructed holster, if your life depended on it. Custom fit (exactly to your specific weapon make and model) is second to none. Attention to detail is mind-boggling, and just simply impressive !! Almost limitless options for whatever specifics you need in a holster, you basically have the ability to design it yourself, then have the excellent craftsperson at DARA build it for you !! That, along with very competitive price points, seriously deserves your consideration if you're in the market for a custom-made, premium quality holster for your favorite handgun/duty weapon !! Like I told their Customer Service folks, it's so rare to find a company in this country that still has its shit together, and these people definitely do !!     I am impressed with the quality of the product I received. The fit, finish, and packing were all top notch. I chose the darker brown leather appearance, it came out awesome! The attention to detail is real - but not due to the mold alone. Let's face it, a mold is a mold. But I found the quality to be all around. Even the packing that contained my holster was appealing to the eye as it contained a nice graphic design with the Dara name on it. Receiving my quality holster this way edged me into believing that the company cares for the little details. Retention preference happened to be ideal (for me) right out of the box. I was a little apprehensive about the style of paddle used. In the end, I find that I prefer the low profile paddle, high profile hooking retention. Excellent product Dara! Now, just make this for the CZ 75 SP01 Tactical and we can be friends!

    The holster is excellent and a perfect fit for the .45 ACP Sig P320 Compact. A bonus is the fact that it also fits my Sig P320 9MM. These two handguns are almost identical frame wise except the 45 is just a bit thicker than the 9MM. You might want to tighten the retention screw just a touch for the 9MM but it is very close. Shipping was as promised and I am thrilled with the holster. Dara will be making all my holsters from now on.
