The Dara Springfield Echelon 4.5" Level 2 Duty Holster is an in-stock, right-hand retention holster made specifically for the Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5". Designed for law enforcement, military, armed security, training and range use, this holster combines active Level 2 retention with adjustable passive retention in a durable .125" thermoformed holster body.

Fits: Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5" (technically also fits the 4" with room at the muzzle, and 5" with the slide protruding)

Configuration: Right-hand draw. This is a non-light-bearing duty holster and is not designed for an Echelon equipped with a weapon-mounted light.

Springfield Echelon Holster Compatibility

The Springfield Echelon 4", 4.5" and 5" pistols use the same Dara holster body. The primary difference relevant to holster fit is the length of the slide. Dara configures the overall holster length for the specific Echelon model selected.

The Echelon 4.5" therefore shares its general holster-body fit with the Echelon 4" and Echelon 5", while the holster is configured for the slide length of the 4.5" model.

Level 2 Retention for the Springfield Echelon 4.5"

The Echelon 4.5" Level 2 Duty Holster combines an active spring-loaded rotating hood with Dara's adjustable passive retention system. The hood remains locked over the rear of the slide until the thumb lever is intentionally depressed. Once released, the hood automatically rotates forward and clears the firearm for the draw.

Dara's adjustable passive retention system allows the user to fine-tune the amount of resistance felt during the draw independently of the active retention hood.

Optics Ready Echelon 4.5" Duty Holster

The Springfield Echelon 4.5" Duty Holster comes standard optics ready and accommodates most commonly used slide-mounted red dot sights. The tall sight channel accommodates sights up to .5" tall, including many suppressor-height and co-witness sight configurations.
