The Dara Springfield Echelon 4" Level 2 Duty Holster is an in-stock, right-hand retention holster made specifically for the Springfield Armory Echelon 4". Designed for law enforcement, military, armed security, training and range use, this holster combines active Level 2 retention with adjustable passive retention in a durable .125" thermoformed holster body.

Configuration: Right-hand draw. This is a non-light-bearing duty holster and is not designed for an Echelon equipped with a weapon-mounted light.

Springfield Echelon Holster Compatibility

The Echelon 4", 4.5" and 5" pistols use the same Dara holster body. The primary holster-fit difference between these models is the length of the slide. Dara accounts for the different slide lengths when configuring the holster for the selected Echelon model.

This means the Echelon 4" shares the same general holster-body fit as the Echelon 4.5" and Echelon 5", while the overall holster length is configured appropriately for the shorter 4" slide.

Level 2 Retention for the Springfield Echelon 4"

The Echelon 4" Level 2 Duty Holster combines an active spring-loaded rotating hood with Dara's adjustable passive retention system. The hood remains locked over the rear of the slide until the intuitively positioned thumb lever is intentionally depressed. Once released, the hood automatically rotates forward and clears the pistol for the draw.

The adjustable passive retention system allows the user to fine-tune draw resistance independently of the active hood.

Optics Ready Echelon 4" Duty Holster

This Springfield Echelon 4" duty holster comes standard optics ready and accommodates most commonly used slide-mounted red dot sights. The tall sight channel accommodates sights up to .5" tall, including many co-witness and suppressor-height sight configurations.
