COMPETITION GEAR
Dara Holsters manufactures firearm-specific competition holsters, competition belt setups and magazine carriers for action shooting, range training and competitive shooters. Our competition lineup includes standard and light-bearing Action Sport Holsters, individual competition gear and complete belt packages designed to provide consistent firearm positioning, adjustable retention and a repeatable draw.
What Is a Competition Holster?
A competition holster is an OWB pistol holster configured for range and action-shooting use, where consistent positioning, adjustable retention and quick, repeatable access to the firearm are important parts of the shooter's belt setup.
Dara Action Sport Holsters are molded for specific firearm configurations rather than relying on a universal fit. Options are available for many popular competition and range handguns from Glock, SIG Sauer, Walther, Smith & Wesson, Canik, Staccato, CZ and other manufacturers, including supported red-dot optic and weapon-light configurations.
Standard vs. Light-Bearing Competition Holsters
Choose a standard Action Sport Holster for a handgun without a weapon-mounted light. For firearms equipped with a supported weapon light, choose a Light-Bearing Action Sport Holster molded around the firearm and light combination.
Both options feature adjustable retention, allowing shooters to configure the holster to their preferred level of resistance while maintaining a consistent firearm-specific fit.
Build a Complete Competition Belt Setup
Shooters can purchase an individual competition OWB holster or choose a complete competition package that combines the holster with a competition belt and magazine carriers. This provides a straightforward way to build a complete competition rig while still allowing individual components to be configured or replaced as needed.
Dara also manufactures magazine carriers and belt-mounting components that allow shooters to configure the position and layout of their competition gear around their individual setup.
Competition Holsters vs. Duty and Concealed Carry Holsters
Competition holsters serve a different role than concealed carry and duty holsters. Concealed carry holsters are designed around concealment and everyday carry, while duty holsters incorporate active retention systems intended for professional duty applications. Competition holsters are worn openly on the belt and focus on consistent positioning, adjustable retention and repeatable access during training and competition.

Dara competition holsters are manufactured in Wendell, North Carolina using thermoformed holster materials and firearm-specific tooling. Our extensive fitment library allows us to support a wide range of handgun, optic and weapon-light combinations while maintaining a holster body designed around the selected firearm configuration.
