Level 2 Retention Duty Holster for Glock 17

The Dara Level 2 Retention Duty Holster for Glock 17 is a right-hand OWB duty holster designed for law enforcement, military, armed security and professional applications requiring active firearm retention. The holster is formed around Dara's firearm-specific Glock mold for a secure fit, consistent retention and repeatable draw.

The holster body is manufactured from rugged .125" purpose-blended polymer and assembled with blackened stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance and durability during regular duty use.

Level 2 retention combines adjustable passive retention with Dara's thumb-activated rotating retention hood. The hood creates an active mechanical barrier over the rear of the slide and is released during the draw with an intuitive thumb-operated lever. The adjustable rubber retention system allows the user to fine-tune resistance on the firearm independently of the active hood.

Glock 17 Holster Compatibility

The Glock 17 belongs to one of the largest shared Glock holster-body families supported by Dara. Several Glock models use the same basic frame and holster geometry, with slide length being one of the primary differences between models.

Within Dara's Gen 3-4 Glock fit family, the following models share the same holster body and length:

• Glock 17 Gen 3-4
• Glock 22 Gen 3-4
• Glock 31 Gen 3-4

These pistols also belong to the broader Gen 2-4 Glock holster-body family that includes the Glock 26, 27, 33, 19, 23, 32, 17, 22, 31, 24 and 34. Models within that broader family share basic holster-body geometry but use different slide lengths.

Within Dara's corresponding current-generation fit family, the Glock 17 and Glock 47 share the same holster body and length.

Generation still matters. When Glock introduced the Gen 5, Dara discovered small dimensional differences from Gen 4 pistols that became noticeable when fitting the firearm into a closely molded holster. This experience helped lead Dara to manufacture our own firearm molds so that differences between generations could be accounted for directly. Select your actual Glock generation when ordering.

This is a non-light-bearing Glock 17 duty holster. Firearms equipped with weapon lights, lasers or other rail-mounted accessories require an appropriate light-bearing or accessory-compatible holster.

Dara cannot guarantee compatibility with aftermarket Glock frames, slides, compensators, thumb rests, oversized controls or other components that alter the firearm's external dimensions unless the exact configuration has been confirmed with us.

Compensators that remain equal to or smaller than the slide/frame profile may fit depending on their dimensions and available muzzle clearance. Contact Dara before ordering if your firearm has been externally modified.

Polymer80 and Shadow Systems pistols are not interchangeable with OEM Glock pistols for Dara holster selection. Select a holster made for the actual firearm platform.
