MOUNTED VEHICLE HOLSTER

With careful thought and preparation, the holster mounted perfectly in my 2018 F-150. My mounting location prevented me from using the backing plate. Some additional support was important to me so I was able to improvise with a metal washer on each bolt. I also recommend thread locker. Even with an abundance of caution, total install time was less than an hour.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Easy mount to the inside of the safe of my truck for my Glock 48. Thank you so much.

I am more than impressed with the quality of this holster and mounting system. I was expecting something to come in the mail in some cheap packaging and some flimsy mount. Nothing could be further from the truth, not only was it packaged in a durable good looking cardboard box, but it was also padded on the inside. The mount for this holster is top notch and is far and away the best vehicle mount I have ever purchased and believe me I have a few. Not only do I enjoy the quality of this holster but I know it is made right here in the good ole US of A and better yet right in my "backyard" in North Carolina.

The fit and finish of the holster and associated components are excellent. I found this company just by doing an internet search and glad I did. Will definitely order from them again!

Probably the greatest invention this century. Quality is outstanding with a perfect fit and finish. Installation is simple and took only 30minutes to install in my 2006 Sierra. Puts your pistol in the perfect position for quick draw and looks amazing. Liked so much , I purchased a second kit and will buy another soon

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first, because no one in my circle of friends has one of these or knows anyone who has one (you get my drift....). For years, I had several failed attempts at fulling securing my holstered weapon - for easy deployment.

There is a 30 day return policy (except light / laser bearing holsters) consequently, I decided to order this product to better accommodate my H&K P30L (9mm). For nearly 20 years my “standard” vehicle holster has been a $9 universal holster purchased from Academy with Velcro on either side. When entering my truck, I would unholster from my OWB kydex holster. Then slip into the universal holster, flip the holstered weapon upside down, pointing towards the motor, and slide it into a pocket on the side of my center console.

Keep in mind, with tactical training, and situational awareness, this storage scenario puts you at an extreme disadvantage! If a situational occurs and I needed to deploy my weapon, first, I had to grab the holstered weapon, remove from the center console pocket. Then use my left hand to grip the universal holster to slide the weapon out of the universal holster. At this point I could swing left and present the weapon.

At first glance, it might not seem to be a huge problem. However, if you had a criminal at your window attempting a car jacking, or worse smashed your window - extra steps and seconds could be the matter of life or death. Not to mention your left arm would be occupied dealing with the threat!

For many years, I've looked for different ways to mount my universal holster. To be honest, my most successful “mount” was that I stapled a strip of heavy duty velcro to the side of my company vehicles center console. This worked for the most part. Unfortunately, sometimes the holstered weapon would fall on the floor board if I hit a bump, or just do to gravity…

So moving forward to present day.... I purchased this holster with obvious skepticism, from years of failed attempts to fully secured my weapon in the vehicle. As I placed my order, I added some comments about considering adding a red dot sight to my H&K P30L. A few days later Alia P. contacted me asking if I wanted to add the RMR cut to the holster in the event I wanted to add the optics. Honestly, I was a bit surprised as no one has ever contacted me from comments on an order before. I decided to add this option to my order. Alia was very responsive to my emails, and very professional and polite! (Thank you!!!)

The RAM mounted vehicle holster was received several days before expected! I watched the video at the bottom of the web page. [John great job explaining this!] Installation seemed easy enough. After much consideration, I decided to install the mounting pad on the bottom right corner of my center dash cover (similar to the video). One thing I wanted was extra stability for the mount. The holster is kydex, with adjustable levels of retention, from the two screws on the mount. There is a snap when installing and resistance when removing (all typical for form fitting kydex). What I was concerned about was ripping the mount off the console. This is plastic resembling the leather on the rest of my truck. Therefore the location I chose was so I could also drill holes through the bracket behind this location for extra stability.

The mount comes with four short & four long pan head screws with and five nuts (one extra). To accommodate the chosen location, I had to buy some longer screws to go through the console bracket. The screw lengths I needed were 30mm & 35mm.

After the installation was finished I could not have been more pleased! Having used this holster for several days, (hate to use the cliché term) I can’t see how I lived without this!

I am very impressed with this holster and have encouraged all my 2A friends to purchase one. This has been a truly great experience for me. I will be purchasing a few more mounts to put in my other vehicles. The holster and linkage can be removed, leaving the mount installed! Thank you, DARA Holsters, for creating a fabulous product!

This is the second one of these I've purchased from DH. Both are used as under-the-desk mounts in both my offices. Best rig I have ever found for the application.

THIS PRODUCT COULDN'T HAVE FIT MY WEAPON ANYMORE PERFECT HAD SOME ISSUES WITH MOUNTING BECAUSE OF MY DASH DESIGN WITHOUT HAVING TO COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLING MY DASH SO I REMOVED MY ASH TRAY AND MOUNTED IT TO THAT WORKS PERFECTLY
