OWB Holster for Glock 34

The Dara OWB Holster for Glock 34 is a firearm-specific outside-the-waistband holster designed around the extended slide of the Glock 34. Built for range use, training and everyday OWB carry, the holster combines a rigid Kydex/Boltaron body with adjustable passive retention and multiple belt-mounting configurations.

The holster is manufactured from .093" Kydex/Boltaron and fastened with blackened stainless steel hardware. Its rigid construction maintains the shape of the holster while providing coverage of the trigger guard and magazine release.

Each Glock 34 OWB holster is individually test fit and draw-weight tested prior to shipment. Adjustable retention allows resistance on the firearm to be tuned to the user's preference while maintaining a positive retention point when the Glock 34 is fully seated.

Glock 34 Holster Compatibility

The Glock 34 uses an extended slide but belongs to Dara's broader standard-frame Glock holster family. This is important because several Glock models share the same basic holster-body geometry even though the firearms themselves use different slide lengths.

Within Dara's Gen 2-4 Glock holster family, the shared general holster-body geometry includes:

• Glock 19 / 23 / 32
• Glock 17 / 22 / 31
• Glock 34 / 35
• Glock 24

These models do not all have the same slide length. Longer holsters within this family can therefore provide sufficient muzzle clearance for certain shorter compatible Glock models while leaving additional space at the bottom of the holster.

For the same-length Gen 3-4 configuration, the Glock 34 and Glock 35 share the same Dara holster body and length. Generation remains important, and Gen 5 Glock 35 should not be treated as interchangeable with the Gen 3-4 Glock 35 configuration.

Why Glock Generation Matters

Dara has been manufacturing Glock holsters across multiple Glock generations. When Gen 5 pistols were introduced, we identified small dimensional changes from the previous generation that became apparent when the pistols were placed into closely formed holsters.

Experiences like the Gen 4-to-Gen 5 transition are one of the reasons Dara began manufacturing our own firearm-specific molding forms. Controlling the mold geometry ourselves allows us to account for firearm changes directly rather than assuming that two visually similar Glock generations are dimensionally identical.

Optics Ready Glock 34 OWB Holster

The Glock 34 is frequently configured with a pistol-mounted optic, so this holster comes standard with an optic cut. It also incorporates a sight channel designed for sights up to approximately .5" tall, accommodating many suppressor-height and co-witness sight configurations.

Forward-positioned optics including the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD require additional holster clearance. Select the deeper optic-cut option when ordering if your Glock 34 is equipped with one of these optics.

Adjustable Passive Retention

Dara's adjustable retention system allows the resistance on the Glock 34 to be increased or decreased according to the user's preference. This provides a secure retention point without requiring the active rotating hood used on a Level 2 duty holster.

Adjustable Belt Fit, Cant & Ride Height

The Glock 34 OWB Holster can be configured with multiple belt attachment options. Dara's Quick Loop attachment accommodates 1.5", 1.75", 2" and 2.25" belts and allows the holster angle to be adjusted to -30°, -15°, 0°, 15° or 30°.

This adjustability is particularly useful with a longer-slide pistol such as the Glock 34 because the user can change the ride and angle of the holster to suit their belt setup and intended use.

Weapon Lights, Compensators & Aftermarket Glock Parts

This is a non-light-bearing Glock 34 OWB holster. A Glock 34 equipped with a weapon light, laser or other rail-mounted accessory requires a holster specifically designed around that firearm and accessory combination.

Aftermarket frames, slides, compensators, gas pedals or thumb rests, oversized controls and other external modifications can alter the dimensions that determine holster fit. Dara cannot guarantee compatibility with aftermarket components that have not been evaluated with the holster.

Because the Glock 34 already uses an extended slide, do not assume that adding a compensator will automatically work simply because the holster is longer. Compatibility depends on the dimensions and profile of the specific compensator as well as the available muzzle clearance.

Polymer80 and Shadow Systems pistols should not be selected as Glock models. Although these firearms may use Glock-pattern components, their external geometry differs from OEM Glock pistols and they should use firearm-specific holsters.
