OWB Holster for Glock 19

The Dara OWB Holster for Glock 19 is an outside-the-waistband holster designed for secure, comfortable belt carry, range use and everyday OWB carry. This in-stock Glock 19 holster is formed around Dara's firearm-specific Glock tooling to provide a close, consistent fit without relying on a generic universal holster body.

Made from rigid .093" Kydex/Boltaron, the holster maintains its shape while providing full coverage of the trigger guard and magazine release. Blackened stainless steel hardware provides corrosion resistance and long-term durability, while the adjustable retention system allows the user to fine-tune the amount of resistance on the firearm during the draw.

Each holster is individually test fit and draw-weight tested before shipment. When the Glock is fully seated, the holster provides a positive, audible retention point while still allowing the user to adjust the draw resistance to their preference.

Glock 19 Holster Compatibility

Glock pistols are particularly well suited to shared holster designs because several models use the same basic frame and holster-body geometry. The Glock 19 belongs to a family of Glock pistols that share the same Dara holster body and length.

For Gen 3 and Gen 4, this holster-body family includes:

• Glock 19 Gen 3-4
• Glock 23 Gen 3-4
• Glock 32 Gen 3-4

Within the corresponding current-generation Glock family, the following models share the same general Dara holster body and length:

• Glock 19
• Glock 19X
• Glock 45

Generation still matters. Dara identified dimensional differences between Glock Gen 4 and Gen 5 pistols when the Gen 5 was introduced, including changes around the front of the slide that can affect the fit of a closely formed holster. This firsthand experience was one of the reasons Dara moved away from relying on commercially available molding forms and began producing our own firearm-specific molds.

Select the correct generation or firearm configuration when ordering rather than assuming that every Glock 19 generation uses an identical holster.

Optics Ready Glock 19 OWB Holster

This Glock 19 OWB holster comes optics ready and includes a sight channel designed to accommodate sights up to approximately .5" tall, including many suppressor-height and co-witness sights.

Forward-positioned optics such as the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD require additional clearance. If your Glock 19 is equipped with one of these optics, select the appropriate deeper optic-cut option when ordering.

Adjustable Retention

The holster uses an adjustable passive retention system that allows the user to increase or decrease resistance on the firearm. This is a passive-retention OWB holster and does not use the active rotating hood found on Dara's Level 2 Duty Holsters.

Adjustable OWB Carry

Available belt attachment options allow the Glock 19 OWB holster to be configured for different belt sizes, ride heights and cant angles. Dara's Quick Loop attachment can be adjusted for 1.5", 1.75", 2" and 2.25" belts and provides cant positions of -30°, -15°, 0°, 15° and 30°.

This is a non-light-bearing Glock 19 OWB holster. It is not compatible with a Glock 19 equipped with a weapon-mounted light, laser or other rail-mounted accessory. A Glock 19 equipped with a compatible weapon light requires a light-bearing holster designed around the combined dimensions of the pistol and light.

Glock also has one of the largest aftermarket parts ecosystems in the handgun market. Aftermarket frames, slides, compensators, gas pedals or thumb rests, oversized controls and other external modifications can change the dimensions used to retain and locate the firearm inside the holster. Dara cannot guarantee compatibility with untested aftermarket components. Contact us before ordering if your Glock 19 has external modifications that may affect holster fit.

Polymer80 and Shadow Systems pistols should not be ordered as Glock 19 pistols. Although these firearms may share some Glock-pattern components, their external geometry is different. Glock parts compatibility does not automatically mean Glock holster compatibility.
