Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

What is the warranty?

All DARA products are backed by a lifetime warranty. Our lifetime warranty covers any type of damage or wear. If anything happens we will fix or replace it for free. A warranty does not cover a change of mind.

What voids the Warranty?

Altering your holster in any way voids the warranty.

Where are DARA Holsters made?

All Dara products are made in the USA. Our manufacturing facility is located at 4120 Wendell Blvd. Wendell, NC, 27597.

How long will it take my order to ship?

Most of our holster are made to order and will be subject to our current lead time listed at the top of the page. During regular operation (not during a sale) our lead time is 3-5 days. Sales can lengthen the lead time due to high volume and sometimes increase it to 2 weeks.

Shipping time varies depending on carrier. The customer can choose from USPS, UPS and DHL (for international). For the fastest and most reliable shipping, we recommend UPS.

How can I check the status of my order?

Once your order is placed you will receive an automated confirmation email. If you don't receive this email, please contact us. We will send you another status update via email the next business day to let you know that the work order has been printed and will soon start production. A couple of days later we will send a trcking number to let you know that the order has shipped. Once the package is delievered, you'll receive an email to let you know.

It's very important that you provide the correct email address.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Yes, though a restocking fee may be applied. Production starts right away, so if there's a change that needs to be made please let us know ASAP. The holster is usually formed within 24 hours.

What is Dara Holsters' return and exchange policy?

As most holsters are made to order, we do not allow returns. Please ensure you select the EXACT firearm model that you have.

Please ensure you order the correct holster type.

Please ensure your address is current and correct.

If you have a weapon mounted light, please ensure the firearm selection reflects the exact model. We do not know what you carry.

What are all these acronyms?

IWB- Inside the Waistband

OWB- Outside the Waistband

AIWB- Appendix Inside the Waistband

ALQD- Auto Locking Quick Disconnect

DBL- Double Belt Loop

How do I know this holster will fit my firearm?

Our holster molds are made by us, using the exact firearm model listed on the drop down menu. After the holster is formed, we use the exact firearm (and light if applicable) to fit test the holster and test the draw weight prior to shipment. We guarantee the fit of every holster that ships from our shop, as long as your gun matches the one you selected during the ordering process.

Why don't I see my firearm or light listed?

We cannot make a holster for every firearm + light configuration out there. We try to make holsters for the most popular combinations and use the data from our Firearm Request Form to make informed decisions.

If your configuration is not listed, request it here.

What if my holster doesn't fit?

In the unlikely event that your holster does not fit, we will fix it for you ASAP- free of charge.

We very rarely have fitment issues as we fit test every holster with the actual firearm and light prior to shipment. When we do have a problem, it's generally due to a customer's modification that was not mentioned on the order form.

In the extremely rare cases where a holster just does not fit and it isn't due to a wrong firearm selection or any external add-ons or modifications, we can alter the holster for you to fix it or we can offer a refund.

If a fitment issue is due to wrong firearm selection or extensive modifications that were not noted on the order, we are not liable.

What does made to order mean?

Many Dara holsters are made to order based on the exact options you select. Rather than pulling a finished holster off a shelf, we manufacture your holster for the specific firearm, light, handedness, color, attachment, and other options chosen when you place your order.

With hundreds of possible firearm and configuration combinations, our production schedule is constantly changing. We rarely make the exact same holster configuration twice in a single week. That level of variety means made-to-order holsters take time to manufacture, finish, assemble, inspect, and prepare for shipment.

Our posted lead time reflects the time required to build your order properly. We know waiting isn't as exciting as getting a shipping notification, but made-to-order manufacturing allows us to support a much wider range of firearms and configurations than we could by stocking only a limited selection of pre-built holsters.

Will this holster adapt to another platform/attachment system?

Our hole pattern is proprietary and therefore our holsters will not readily adapt to another attachment system. We do offer The Bridge™ Adapter, which solves cross-platform compatibility issues.

Can I replace or change the attachment on my Dara product?

Absolutely! All current OWB Holsters (including Retention holsters) are compatible with the same attachments.

All IWB Holsters have interchangeable belt attachments, however you cannot add AIWB holster claws to an IWB Holster as they were not designed for a claw.

The DCS System has proprietary attachments.

Does Dara ship internationally?
