I've always been a Blackhawk owner and I still think they make some decent stuff. However, a custom Dara level II just blows it away. No extra bulk but tough as nails. Fits my G17 with a TLR1 and Holosun perfectly. The hood is snappy and rugged. I'd 100% order another one.

I was referred to Dara Holsters by Springfield Armory after purchasing my XD-M Elite OSP 9mm and needed a holster as Safariland , Blackhawk and other major companies did not make a level 2 or level 3 duty holster for this firearm, Sam was very helpful on the phone when I called last week, this is truly a fantastic holster, thank you again

FYI THE HOLSTER I PURCHASED FITS THE 5 prodigy with the light like a glove I would advise it so you don’t loose $ I rolled the dice it fits like a glove after being told absolutely not from ur sales staff on phone oh & I love it! WE THE PEOPLE!

Hood release is excellent. A few adjustments to the tension screws on the side of the holster and the pistol comes out with ease.

All around I love this holster. The retention action is smooth and placed in a very natural position making the draw lightening fast while still protecting the firearm. The belt slide is easy to adjust tho the sharp corners can prove uncomfortable in some positions. Still, the holster is well worth it and for the price and quality you can't beat it.

After an extensive email discussion with customer service, I determined that Dara Holster's Light-Bearing Level II Duty Holster would definitely fit my Glock 19 Gen 3 w/a Trijicon RMR LED Type 2 MRDS and a Streamlight TLR-8 A G light/green laser. The only question when I finally decided to place the order was if the holster could be modified to accommodate the GS extended magazine release. Shipping time was reasonably fast. When I received the holster, I found that it was not a problem to Dremel out an extremely small portion of the holster to make the GS extended mag release fit. That alteration, of course, voided the warranty on the holster, but I am absolutely certain that this holster will function perfectly and will outlive me so much that I wont have need of the warranty anyway. So, if you are considering this holster, don't overthink things and just buy it! Even the price is very reasonable. Oh, and don't forget the mag carrier/s to match this holster.
