Light Bearing Level 2 Duty Holster

The Dara Light Bearing Level 2 Duty Holster is an outside-the-waistband (OWB) retention holster designed for pistols equipped with weapon-mounted lights. Built for law enforcement, military personnel, armed security, and professional duty use, it combines adjustable passive retention with an active, spring-operated rotating hood.

Each holster is individually thermoformed in-house from .125" Kydex or Boltaron for a specific firearm and weapon light combination. This firearm-specific construction provides a secure fit, protects the trigger guard, and accommodates compatible slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights.

Two Levels of Retention

Passive retention: Dara's adjustable rubber retention system allows the user to fine-tune the resistance during the draw.

Active retention: The rotating hood locks over the firearm until the thumb-operated release is depressed. The spring-loaded hood then rotates forward, helping clear loose garments and providing a consistent draw stroke.

Unlike holsters that use an aftermarket retention hood, Dara's Level 2 system was engineered in-house as a complete duty holster. Its retention components, hardware, and holster body are designed to work together.

Adjustable for Your Duty Setup

The Light Bearing Level 2 Duty Holster is compatible with the Dara Level 2 Control Kit, allowing users to customize the thumb release for their hand size, gloves, and personal preference.

Compatible Dara duty attachments, including the DBL2 and DBL2-L, provide options for adjusting ride height, cant, and clearance from body armor. The Bridge Adapter also supports compatible third-party mounting systems.

Every holster is manufactured and fit tested in-house and backed by Dara's Lifetime Warranty.

Optics & Sight Compatibility
Designed to accommodate slide-mounted optics and suppressor-height sights, ensuring versatility for various duty or tactical setups. The REGULAR HOOD can accommodate optics up to 1.2" tall when measured from the top of the slide to the top of the optic. Anything taller than that will require the LARGE HOOD. If your optic measures in between, we recommend sizing up. For the Trijicon SRO or RMR HD, please check the box for a deeper optic cut.
Customizable Draw
Adjust the ride height and cant angles for optimal comfort and draw efficiency. Add an optional leg strap for extra stability, especially during high-intensity operations.
Attachment Options
Choose between our DBL2 or DBL2-L System, Both options provide clearance for body armor and a natural draw stroke, making this level 2 holster ideal for professional use. All attachments accommodate belt widths measuring 1.5" - 2.25".

amazing top quality holster, I can definitely tell it was custom made to fit my gun. Only issue was it was a little tight on the top of the slide due to my aftermarkets slides serrations, but with a little filing, it fits like a glove!

After searching for a lefty holster for my 2011 Staccato P Dara delivered. Seriously, this holster is awesome! It’s a light bearing holster for a Staccato 2011 P. It fits my gun and Streamlight perfectly! The retention is great and the spring loaded hood release is flawless! I love this holster for my tac ops. Quality construction and comfortable fit with leg strap. I could not be more pleased! Move over Safiland (who couldn’t even deliver a lefty light bearing holster for my Staccato), there is a new kid on the block and they are about to rock your world. Thanks Dara. I have an HK VP9 with a TLR1-HL a Delta Point Pro RDS. And if you have an HK VP9 you know holsters are hard to find especially when you have attachments. At first i was skeptical about this company because ive never herd of them. But once i got my hands on the holster i immediately fell in love with it. It is super comfortable and very well made. The retention on it is so good that i highly recommend getting the leg strap so you can make sure you can pull the weapon out. This holster is amazing i only wish DARA would make a Level 3 holster as well. But overall i highly recommend this holster company. You wont be disappointed.

Overall I really like the holster. I like the drop offset position as it is a perfect compromise between drop leg and regular OTW. The only gripe I have is with the seemingly excessive material right below the rail mounted light. It seems to be unnecessary bulk. Not trying to pick it apart. Really do love the holster.

Construction is solid, customer svc is 5 star, the chrome metal attachment fasteners are not good in tactical situations. I actually changed mine. The drop is insufficient to clear a vest so I had to purchase the extension, which also has the chrome metal fasteners, which I will have to paint or blue.

The drop offset is a separate piece that connects the double loop to the holster. the drop offset drops the holster down and offsets the grip from the body.

An example of the quick loop and drop offset attachment. the quick loop hinges at the top and clips around the bottom of the belt with locking tabs to secure it in place.
