A light-bearing duty holster must do more than simply accommodate a weapon-mounted light... it must provide uncompromising security, a fast and repeatable draw, and reliable performance under the demanding conditions faced by law enforcement, military personnel and armed security professionals.

The Dara Light Bearing Level 2 Duty Holster combines adjustable passive retention with an integrated active retention hood to deliver dependable firearm security without sacrificing speed. Engineered with one of the fastest rotating hood systems on the market, the release is designed to produce a consistent, repeatable draw stroke that clears loose garment while remaining instinctive under stress.

Unlike many retention holsters that simply add a third-party hood to an OWB holster, the Dara Light Bearing Level 2 Duty Holster was engineered in-house from the ground up as a complete retention system. Everything from the rubber grommets of the adjustable retention system, to the hardware used, has the rigors of duty in mind. The holster body is precisely molded to protect the trigger guard, preventing access to the trigger while the firearm is holstered providing safety during everyday carry and duty use.

Compatible with the Dara Level 2 Control Kit, users can further customize the thumb release by modifying the button size and style that best fits their hand size, glove use, or personal preference.

This holster is everything I was hoping for (I actually got two). I have had several Level II light-bearing holsters but they have always forced me to forgo optics to get level II retention. This holster lets me have both. In relation to the retention features vs other level II holsters this is much more durable and well put-together in addition to not having anything potentially interfere with the trigger. The attention to detail is really spot on and everything is done well. The ising on the cake is that it was shipped within a few days and I got it about a week after ordering.

My H&K fit great in this holster right out of the box. I had a pretty tough time finding one that was actually for my gun with the halosun red dot and tac light. I had already lost a restocking fee with Safariland. I’m glad I went with this company.

So I ordered this for my G19 with RMR cut and TLR-1HL. Personally I didn't like how low it rode so I removed the offset and mounted it directly to the double loop, and it so far has worked great. I've been using this as my duty holster for just over two weeks and it is by far one of the most comfortable holsters I've every used. Several of my coworkers compared it the higher priced safariland holsters and found this to be better. The trigger to unlock the hood has nice jimping that makes it easy to actuate and the hood flies forward under spring tension easily moving any light clothing in the way. Overall I am highly satisfied with this product and will be purchasing again for my Sig P320F. My only wish is that Dara makes a true thigh holster rather than an offset cause that's where I would put this.

Arrived as described and earlier than predicted. One of the only holster company's I could find producing a level 2 duty holster for fnx 45 tactical. Have only used it for about 1 week, but so far so good. Sturdy design and construction. Great customer service, actually able to speak with a human!

I have a Glock 40 MOS I use for bear protection in the mountains. I ordered this holster because I like retention holsters that are more than just friction fit. This has an awesome release mechanism, fits my Glock very well, and is comfortable to wear. I am excited and hopeful that it will be good to wear on day hikes. I will be ordering more Dara Holsters for my other set ups.

I bought their light bearing level 2 duty holster, and this holster is a tank. It's a comfortable fit, you can adjust the belt width if need be, and draw is lightning fast and unimpeded. If there were one thing I would like changed, is the type or thickness of the material used in the leg strap. It's not really flimsy, but it may roll and bind because it's somewhat thin. Not a big deal, just food for thought.

The holster did take about 5 weeks to receive but I ordered during the COVID nonsense so it could have been due to that. It is extremely well made and the only two reasons this holster is not receiving 5 stars is the fact that the secure buckle and strap to keep the holster from bouncing around feels somewhat cheap almost like an afterthought where as the rest of the holster is very well constructed. The second reason is the fact that I only have about 2 weeks of duty use out of this holster and dont want to give false impressions of the durability of the product. But so far it seems great, has worked every time and is a great retention holster. If you're a sig user note that the hood does get in the way of the hammer if you prefer to carry on DA so you will have to carry your handgun in SA. Took some getting used to for me but it's not an issue just personal preference.
