From order date to delivered, a total of 16 days. Competitor companies’ lead time 5-7+ weeks. Very well made holster. Not too thin or thick. Hood opens with a lot more force than videos show. Gun very secure when hood is on. Not any wiggle room for the gun to be pulled. Clears body armor easily and good distance from the body. No issues sitting or when in car driving. Thigh strap included, very big plus. Saves you time and struggle to find an aftermarket thigh strap or drop kit. Drawing from gun without the thigh strap can cause the holster to move a bit, hindering the draw. Thigh strap on recommended. Could use an extended thumb release option for people with short thumbs. Hood won’t open if thumb release isn’t pressed down fully. Minor thing that could be corrected with practice. Custom hood instead of throwing on a Safariland one, also big plus. Retention screws also have a very good range for your preferred draw.

Following up on my experience. I had a issue with the retention strap being slightly short and contacting my hammer on P227. Contacted customer service. They started a new holster even before I had time to send the holster back. 4 days later I recieved the new holster and it is perfect. Excellent holster and fantastic customer service. 10 stars

Well made. Tight but slick presentation. Height is good and slight outward cant clears plate carrier nicely. Gunslinger tie down keeps the holster from flopping up on the draw. Nicely done. Pricey but worth it.

I received this holster for my P227. Everything is beautiful. I have had trouble finding a holster for my duty gun that I really like. When I recieved the holster everything was fantastic except the secure strap was about 1/8 in to short and was hitting the hammer. I contacted Dara and they had a replacement holster redone and in the mail in a few days. Obviously their customer service is only second to the holster quality. Will be recommending them to anyone I know looking for holsters

When my department said we had to go to weapon mounted lights i was bummed because the holster offerings were so bulky...until I found Dara. Perfect fit with my G17 gen4 and Inforce APL gen3. Slim and as small as a light bearing holster could possibly be. I love the thumb operated hood firing mechanism. Highly recommended!
