What Is the Dara Bridge™ Adapter?

The Dara Bridge™ Adapter is a cross-platform holster adapter plate designed to connect compatible holsters and attachment systems from different manufacturers.

It provides an interface between mounting hole patterns, allowing you to keep your preferred belt attachment, hanger, or quick-disconnect system when switching holsters.

It doesn't change the holster's retention system, adjust ride height, or function as a quick-disconnect mechanism. Its job is to provide the connection between two supported components that otherwise wouldn't mount together.

That sounds like a small problem to solve, but it can make a significant difference when you've already invested in belt attachments, drop platforms, hangers, or quick-disconnect systems.

Although the Bridge is sometimes described as a universal holster adapter, it isn't compatible with every holster ever manufactured. It supports specific mounting patterns across multiple brands, providing broader compatibility without requiring every manufacturer to adopt the same pattern.

It allows us to continue designing our own mounting equipment while giving customers the option to connect supported third-party systems.

The goal isn't to make every holster use the same attachment. It's to give customers more flexibility when the attachment they already own is the one they want to keep.

What Is the Best Holster Attachment System?

There isn't one holster attachment system that's best for every application. The right choice depends on how you carry, how often you change holsters, and whether you need a fixed mount or quick-disconnect capability.

For duty use, some users prefer a Safariland UBL or a compatible drop attachment. Others prefer quick-disconnect systems such as Safariland QLS, Dara ALQD, or Blade-Tech Tek-Mount because they allow compatible holster assemblies to be moved between mounting platforms.

Competition shooters may prefer adjustable hangers that provide the positioning allowed by their shooting division. Recreational shooters may prioritize simplicity, comfort, and the ability to use one belt with multiple holsters.

How to Choose the Right Bridge Adapter

The standard Bridge™ Adapter supports a variety of mounting configurations. Certain Blackhawk and Alien Gear applications require the Bridge with Specialty Hardware.

If you already use Dara's ALQD quick-disconnect system, the Bridge may allow selected third-party holsters or attachments to be incorporated into a compatible setup.
