Our Staccato holster lineup supports several of the most popular Staccato 2011 pistols, including the Staccato C2, Staccato P, Staccato XC, Staccato XL, Staccato HD P4, & Staccato HD P4.5, with standard and light-bearing configurations available.

Depending on the firearm and intended use, available options include IWB and OWB holsters, competition holsters, Level 2 retention duty holsters and select in-stock configurations.

Light-bearing holster support is available for several popular weapon-mounted lights, including the Streamlight TLR-1/TLR-1 HL, Streamlight TLR-7A/TLR-7X, SureFire X300U-B and Modlite PL350.

Use this guide to compare supported Staccato models, understand the differences between them and determine which Dara holster configuration is appropriate for your pistol.

Staccato C2 Holsters

The Staccato C2 is the most compact pistol among the C2, P, XC and XL models supported by Dara. It was designed around a smaller, more concealable package while retaining the double-stack 2011 design. The Holster for the Staccato C2 does NOT fit the Staccato C model.

The C2 uses a 3.9-inch barrel and has a shorter overall package than the full-size Staccato models. This makes the C2 popular for concealed carry and everyday use, but its smaller dimensions are also important when selecting a holster.

Dara offers light-bearing Staccato C2 holsters with support for:

  • Streamlight TLR-1 / TLR-1 HL/HP
  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X (NOT SUB)
  • SureFire X300U-B
  • Modlite PL350

Will a Staccato C2 fit a Staccato P holster?

Do not assume that it will. Although the C2 and P are both Staccato 2011 pistols and share many visual and mechanical similarities, the C2 uses a shorter slide and barrel assembly and has different external dimensions. (see above chart)

Dara holsters are developed around specific firearm and accessory configurations. Always select Staccato C2 when ordering a holster for a C2 rather than selecting another Staccato model based on appearance or platform similarity.

Staccato P Holsters

The Staccato P is a full-size duty-oriented 2011 pistol and one of the most widely recognized models in the Staccato lineup.

Compared with the C2, the P uses a longer slide and barrel configuration and is designed more around duty, professional and full-size handgun use than maximum concealability.

Supported weapon lights include:

  • Streamlight TLR-1 / TLR-1 HL
  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X
  • SureFire X300U-B
  • Modlite PL350

The Staccato P should be selected specifically when configuring your holster. Do not select C2, XC or XL simply because the pistols belong to the same Staccato 2011 family.

Staccato XC Holsters

The Staccato XC is a full-size performance-oriented pistol distinguished most noticeably by its integrated compensator.

The XC uses a 5-inch overall barrel and compensator system designed to reduce muzzle rise and improve the pistol's shooting characteristics during rapid fire.

That integrated compensator is also important from a holster-fitment standpoint. Although an XC may look similar to a Staccato P at a glance, the front end of the firearm is not the same.

Differences in slide length, muzzle geometry and the compensator mean that customers should not assume that a holster made for a Staccato P is automatically compatible with the XC.

Supported weapon lights include:

  • Streamlight TLR-1 / TLR-1 HL
  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X
  • SureFire X300U-B
  • Modlite PL350

When ordering, select Staccato XC specifically.

Staccato XL Holsters

The Staccato XL is the longest pistol among the four Staccato models listed in this guide.

Built around a 5.4-inch barrel, the XL was designed primarily as a performance and competition-oriented pistol. Its longer slide and barrel distinguish it from the shorter C2, P and XC configurations.

That additional length is especially important for holster fit. A holster designed around a shorter Staccato should not automatically be considered compatible with the XL simply because the frame and general 2011 profile appear similar.

Supported weapon lights include:

  • Streamlight TLR-1 / TLR-1 HL
  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X
  • SureFire X300U-B
  • Modlite PL350

Staccato HD P4 Holsters

The Staccato HD P4 is the longest pistol among the four Staccato models listed in this guide.

The Staccato HD series is a newer evolution of the 2011 platform, featuring redesigned ergonomics, an updated optics mounting system, an improved recoil system and an active firing pin block. The HD P4 pairs a full-size grip with a more compact 4-inch barrel, giving it the handling and capacity of a full-size pistol in a shorter, more carry-friendly configuration. It uses industry-standard 18-round magazines and was designed to bridge the gap between everyday carry and professional duty use.

Supported weapon lights include:

  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X (not sub) (DCS System & Level 2 ONLY)
  • SureFire X300U-B

Staccato HD P4.5 Holsters

The Staccato HD P4.5 is the longest pistol among the four Staccato models listed in this guide.

Built on the same slide as the P4, the P4.5 HD is built for performance. Its 4.5-inch one-piece sight block design increases barrel length and adds non-reciprocating mass at the muzzle to enhance accuracy and shootability. Utilizing the shorter slide of the P4 maintains a fast cycle speed for increased reliability and a quick, consistent recoil impulse with less muzzle rise.

Supported weapon lights include:

  • Streamlight TLR-7A / TLR-7X (not sub) (DCS System & Level 2 ONLY)
  • SureFire X300U-B

Staccato C2 vs P vs XC vs XL

One of the most common sources of confusion when purchasing a Staccato holster is the similarity between different Staccato models.

The C2, P, XC and XL all belong to the Staccato 2011 family, but 2011 does not describe a universal set of external dimensions.

Model Barrel / System Length General Size Primary Design Focus Major Holster Consideration
Staccato C2 3.9" Compact Concealed carry / general use Shorter slide and overall package
Staccato P 4.4" Full Size Duty / general use Longer than C2
Staccato XC 5.0" barrel / comp system Full Size Performance / duty / competition Integrated compensator changes muzzle geometry
Staccato XL 5.4" Long Slide Competition / performance Longest slide and barrel of these four models

Why won't every Staccato fit the same holster?

A molded holster interfaces with specific areas of the firearm. Small dimensional changes can affect how the pistol enters the holster, where it stops, how the retention system engages and how securely the firearm is retained.

Two pistols can share the same basic 2011 operating system and still have different:

  • Slide lengths
  • Barrel lengths
  • Muzzle profiles
  • Dust-cover dimensions
  • Trigger-guard geometry
  • Controls
  • Accessory configurations
  • Weapon-mounted lights
  • Compensators or other external components

This is why similar-looking Staccato pistols should not automatically be considered holster compatible.

Are All 2011 Pistols the Same Size?

No. The term 2011 does not mean that every 2011-style pistol shares identical external dimensions.

Manufacturers can change the slide, frame, dust cover, trigger guard, barrel length, compensator and other external components while still producing a pistol based on the general 2011 platform.

A holster made for a Staccato should not be assumed to fit another manufacturer's 2011-style pistol.

Likewise, a holster designed around one Staccato model should not automatically be assumed to fit every other Staccato model.

Staccato Light-Bearing Holsters

Dara manufactures light-bearing holsters around a specific firearm and weapon-mounted-light combination.

C2 Yes Yes Yes Yes
P Yes Yes Yes Yes
XC Yes Yes Yes Yes
XL Yes Yes Yes Yes

Why does the weapon light matter for holster fit?

A light-bearing holster is not simply a standard holster with additional space cut out for the light.

The weapon-mounted light becomes part of the firearm's external profile and can play an important role in how the holster is formed and how the firearm is retained.

For this reason, weapon lights are not universally interchangeable in a light-bearing holster.

If your holster is ordered for a Staccato P with a TLR-1 HL, for example, do not assume the same holster will properly accommodate the pistol after replacing that light with an X300U-B, TLR-7X or PL350.

Always choose your exact firearm and weapon-light combination when ordering.

Staccato Duty & Level 2 Retention Holsters

Dara manufactures Level 2 Duty Holsters for the Staccato C2, P, XC and XL.

Our Level 2 Duty Holsters are built from .125" Boltaron and include both adjustable passive retention and a spring loaded rotating retention hood. They are optics ready and designed to accommodate suppressor-height sights.

Duty holster configurations are available for supported standard and weapon-light-equipped Staccato pistols.

Because proper fit and retention are particularly important in a duty application, always select your exact Staccato model and weapon-light configuration when ordering.

Staccato Optics-Ready Holsters

Dara Staccato holsters are designed to accommodate pistol-mounted red-dot optics.

When configuring your holster, pay attention to optics that extend farther forward than typical red-dot sights. Optics such as the Trijicon SRO and RMR HD require a deeper optic cut, which can be selected on applicable Dara holster product pages.

For Level 2 Duty Holsters, Dara also offers different rotating hood sizes to accommodate different optic heights.

If the distance from the top of the slide to the top of your optic exceeds 1.2 inches, select the larger hood.

How Dara Staccato Holsters Are Made

Dara Staccato holsters are manufactured in the USA from durable thermoplastic materials including Kydex and Boltaron, depending on the holster color/pattern.

Rather than using a generic "2011 holster," our holsters are developed around specific firearm configurations.

Depending on the selected holster, features may include:

  • Adjustable retention (all holster models)
  • Optics-ready clearance (all holster models)
  • Suppressor-height sight clearance (all holster models)
  • Multiple belt attachment options (all holster models)
  • Weapon-mounted light compatibility (all holster models)
  • Duty-rated active retention (level 2 holsters)
  • Competition-specific mounting options (OWB Holsters)

The goal is simple: build the holster around the firearm you're actually carrying rather than assuming similar pistols have identical dimensions.

Does Dara make Staccato light-bearing holsters?

Yes. Light-bearing configurations are available for the Staccato C2, P, XC, XL, & HD P4 & 4.5 with supported weapon-mounted lights including the TLR-1/TLR-1 HL, TLR-7A/TLR-7X, X300U-B and PL350.

Will a Staccato C2 fit a Staccato P holster?

Do not assume that a C2 will properly fit a holster made for a Staccato P. The C2 and P have different slide and barrel lengths and should be treated as separate firearm configurations when ordering a Dara holster.

Will a Staccato P holster fit a Staccato XC?

Do not assume compatibility. The XC incorporates an integrated compensator and has a different overall front-end configuration than the Staccato P.

Will a Staccato XC fit a Staccato XL holster?

The XC and XL are different firearm configurations. The XL uses a longer 5.4-inch barrel and slide, while the XC uses its distinctive integrated compensator system.

Will a Staccato holster fit other 2011 pistols?

Not necessarily. The term 2011 describes a general pistol platform and does not establish universal external dimensions.

Dara does not recommend ordering a Staccato holster for another 2011-style pistol unless that specific firearm has been confirmed as compatible.

Does Dara make Staccato competition holsters?

Yes. Standard and light-bearing competition holsters are available for supported Staccato configurations.

Are Dara Staccato holsters optics ready?

Yes. Dara Staccato holsters are designed to accommodate pistol-mounted optics.

If you use a forward-extending optic such as a Trijicon SRO or RMR HD, select the deeper optic cut when that option appears on the product page.

Can I change weapon lights and keep using the same Staccato holster?

Do not assume that different weapon lights are interchangeable. Light-bearing holsters are developed around a specific firearm and light combination.

How do I choose the correct Staccato holster?

First choose the holster style based on how you intend to use it, such as concealed carry, OWB, competition or duty.

Then select your exact Staccato model, whether the pistol has a weapon-mounted light, the exact light model if applicable, your optic configuration and your preferred attachment options.

Do not select a different Staccato model simply because it looks similar to your pistol.

If your exact firearm or accessory configuration isn't listed, submit a firearm request before ordering.
